71

00:02:36,967 --> 00:02:39,131

Fabiana Udenio: I was a little bit of an unexpected thing

72

00:02:40,642 --> 00:02:42,967

Fabiana Udenio: happening, but right now, but other than

73

00:02:42,987 --> 00:02:43,669

Fabiana Udenio: that it's going great.

74

00:02:43,689 --> 00:02:44,371

Fabiana Udenio: We're number one.

75

00:02:45,422 --> 00:02:46,124

Marc Preston: You're number one.

76

00:02:46,667 --> 00:02:49,036

Marc Preston: The Fubar is number one, Fubar I just

77

00:02:49,056 --> 00:02:51,423

Marc Preston: watched the first episode last night,

78

00:02:52,125 --> 00:02:53,368

Marc Preston: Thoroughly enjoyed it And I have to say

79

00:02:53,388 --> 00:02:56,266

Marc Preston: you're the second on-screen spouse I've

80

00:02:56,306 --> 00:02:58,236

Marc Preston: interviewed of Arnold Schwarzenegger is

81

00:02:58,256 --> 00:03:00,727

Marc Preston: going all the way back to 1994.

82

00:03:00,767 --> 00:03:02,554

Marc Preston: I think I interviewed Jamie Lee Curtis for

83

00:03:02,815 --> 00:03:04,000

Marc Preston: True Lies, So you're the second

84

00:03:04,642 --> 00:03:05,985

Marc Preston: Schwarzenegger spouse I've had the

85

00:03:06,045 --> 00:03:07,469

Marc Preston: opportunity to chat with.

86

00:03:08,331 --> 00:03:09,882

Fabiana Udenio: Right, you're in.

87

00:03:10,023 --> 00:03:12,350

Marc Preston: LA right, Yes, So how long have you been

88

00:03:12,390 --> 00:03:12,971

Marc Preston: living in LA?

89

00:03:13,582 --> 00:03:14,205

Fabiana Udenio: Forever.

90

00:03:14,265 --> 00:03:16,956

Fabiana Udenio: It seems like forever because I initially

91

00:03:17,036 --> 00:03:19,827

Fabiana Udenio: came to the United States in the late 80s

92

00:03:19,867 --> 00:03:22,297

Fabiana Udenio: and I lived in New York for a year And then

93

00:03:22,377 --> 00:03:24,203

Fabiana Udenio: after that I was doing a soap opera in New

94

00:03:24,223 --> 00:03:24,404

Fabiana Udenio: York.

95

00:03:24,444 --> 00:03:27,351

Fabiana Udenio: Then I came to Los Angeles and then I did

96

00:03:27,391 --> 00:03:29,443

Fabiana Udenio: summer school and I kind of stayed.

97

00:03:29,503 --> 00:03:34,172

Fabiana Udenio: I went back and forth from Italy to work

98

00:03:34,212 --> 00:03:36,704

Fabiana Udenio: for a while and I came here, but generally

99

00:03:37,727 --> 00:03:38,970

Fabiana Udenio: so it's been since the late 80s.

100

00:03:39,030 --> 00:03:39,772

Fabiana Udenio: How long has that been?

101

00:03:40,382 --> 00:03:41,427

Fabiana Udenio: Too much to count?

102

00:03:42,191 --> 00:03:43,799

Marc Preston: I don't really want to think about how long

103

00:03:43,819 --> 00:03:44,000

Marc Preston: it's been.

104

00:03:44,100 --> 00:03:45,264

Fabiana Udenio: I mean remind us.

105

00:03:45,284 --> 00:03:46,950

Fabiana Udenio: Thank you, We're on the same boat.

106

00:03:47,381 --> 00:03:49,346

Marc Preston: There are some movies that occasionally

107

00:03:49,386 --> 00:03:51,531

Marc Preston: show up on streaming.

108

00:03:51,612 --> 00:03:52,604

Marc Preston: I'm like, okay, I've got to show my

109

00:03:52,664 --> 00:03:54,577

Marc Preston: daughter that They're teenagers.

110

00:03:54,597 --> 00:03:55,682

Marc Preston: There are a couple of her in college.

111

00:03:55,742 --> 00:03:58,469

Marc Preston: Now I will say my 17-year-old loves the

112

00:03:58,529 --> 00:04:01,103

Marc Preston: Austin Powers movies She is familiar with

113

00:04:01,123 --> 00:04:02,887

Marc Preston: you And that is 26 years.

114

00:04:03,068 --> 00:04:04,852

Fabiana Udenio: I mean, it's crazy.

115

00:04:05,241 --> 00:04:07,010

Marc Preston: It's hard to get my head around that Time

116

00:04:07,090 --> 00:04:07,915

Marc Preston: is funny stuff.

117

00:04:08,357 --> 00:04:10,344

Marc Preston: But yeah, you originally from Italy, but I

118

00:04:10,364 --> 00:04:11,928

Marc Preston: thought I read somewhere Weren't you born

119

00:04:11,968 --> 00:04:12,590

Marc Preston: in Argentina?

120

00:04:13,763 --> 00:04:16,193

Fabiana Udenio: Yes, i was born in Argentina.

121

00:04:16,233 --> 00:04:18,000

Fabiana Udenio: My parents are Italian, but my dad went to

122

00:04:18,161 --> 00:04:21,090

Fabiana Udenio: Argentina to join his father, who had a

123

00:04:21,492 --> 00:04:23,980

Fabiana Udenio: company there, and so they got married

124

00:04:24,401 --> 00:04:24,902

Fabiana Udenio: really young.

125

00:04:24,942 --> 00:04:27,348

Fabiana Udenio: My parents went to Argentina with my sister,

126

00:04:27,409 --> 00:04:30,464

Fabiana Udenio: who was one year old, and they stayed there

127

00:04:30,524 --> 00:04:31,526

Fabiana Udenio: for 15 years.

128

00:04:31,687 --> 00:04:33,451

Fabiana Udenio: So I was born there, stayed there until I

129

00:04:33,491 --> 00:04:37,607

Fabiana Udenio: was six or seven or depending on whether I

130

00:04:39,050 --> 00:04:42,303

Fabiana Udenio: Yes And then they went back to Italy And so

131

00:04:42,383 --> 00:04:44,990

Fabiana Udenio: my upbringing was in Italy, my schooling

132

00:04:45,110 --> 00:04:47,504

Fabiana Udenio: and all What kind of work was your father

133

00:04:47,544 --> 00:04:49,129

Fabiana Udenio: doing in Argentina?

134

00:04:49,149 --> 00:04:49,891

Marc Preston: What was his trade?

135

00:04:50,942 --> 00:04:52,925

Fabiana Udenio: They were importing and exporting

136

00:04:54,989 --> 00:05:00,332

Fabiana Udenio: photographic equipment And they were doing

137

00:05:00,352 --> 00:05:00,633

Fabiana Udenio: pretty well.

138

00:05:00,653 --> 00:05:01,960

Fabiana Udenio: But you know, in Argentina the economic,

139

00:05:02,663 --> 00:05:05,434

Fabiana Udenio: political system goes up and down, so I

140

00:05:05,474 --> 00:05:06,980

Fabiana Udenio: think there was a crash, political,

141

00:05:07,964 --> 00:05:10,373

Fabiana Udenio: everything And so my mother I think it was

142

00:05:10,434 --> 00:05:13,343

Fabiana Udenio: my mother at the time that decided I wanted

143

00:05:13,363 --> 00:05:15,688

Fabiana Udenio: to go back And my dad kind of maybe didn't

144

00:05:15,788 --> 00:05:19,809

Fabiana Udenio: want to, but they went back to Italy And so

145

00:05:19,849 --> 00:05:22,000

Fabiana Udenio: I had family over there in Argentina.

146

00:05:22,682 --> 00:05:23,545

Marc Preston: Was it Pinochet?

147

00:05:23,585 --> 00:05:24,809

Marc Preston: Was that who it was back then?

148

00:05:25,362 --> 00:05:26,025

Fabiana Udenio: It was Perón.

149

00:05:26,226 --> 00:05:26,628

Marc Preston: Perón.

150

00:05:27,111 --> 00:05:29,000

Marc Preston: I can flake sometimes Chilean history and

151

00:05:29,402 --> 00:05:31,151

Marc Preston: Argentinian history, but I've always

152

00:05:31,171 --> 00:05:32,196

Marc Preston: thought it'd be a beautiful place.

153

00:05:33,583 --> 00:05:36,437

Marc Preston: I've always wanted to go to Argentina and

154

00:05:36,477 --> 00:05:36,698

Marc Preston: just eat.

155

00:05:36,719 --> 00:05:39,004

Marc Preston: Really, from what I understand, they like

156

00:05:39,065 --> 00:05:39,646

Marc Preston: meat down there.

157

00:05:39,947 --> 00:05:40,267

Marc Preston: Yes.

158

00:05:40,367 --> 00:05:41,931

Fabiana Udenio: Argentina.

159

00:05:42,352 --> 00:05:42,853

Fabiana Udenio: It's great.

160

00:05:43,020 --> 00:05:46,110

Fabiana Udenio: It's a combination with South America and

161

00:05:46,171 --> 00:05:49,462

Fabiana Udenio: Italy And I still remember the night life

162

00:05:49,562 --> 00:05:51,209

Fabiana Udenio: over there.

163

00:05:51,349 --> 00:05:53,217

Fabiana Udenio: I still remember my parents going to a

164

00:05:53,237 --> 00:05:54,000

Fabiana Udenio: midnight movie.

165

00:05:56,968 --> 00:05:59,335

Fabiana Udenio: So there's this great night life and, yes,

166

00:05:59,375 --> 00:06:00,920

Fabiana Udenio: the meat, the carne asada, the barbecue

167

00:06:01,341 --> 00:06:02,966

Fabiana Udenio: with carne asada, it's amazing.

168

00:06:03,166 --> 00:06:04,711

Marc Preston: I've really had lunch yet, so that's why

169

00:06:04,731 --> 00:06:05,884

Marc Preston: I'm thinking about food right now.

170

00:06:05,904 --> 00:06:08,497

Marc Preston: I'm thinking Argentina, so you better not

171

00:06:08,518 --> 00:06:09,602

Marc Preston: think about Italy.

172

00:06:09,662 --> 00:06:10,364

Fabiana Udenio: It's even worse.

173

00:06:10,464 --> 00:06:12,069

Fabiana Udenio: It's even better than food over there in

174

00:06:12,109 --> 00:06:12,450

Fabiana Udenio: Italy.

175

00:06:13,000 --> 00:06:13,521

Marc Preston: Oh, absolutely Now.

176

00:06:13,562 --> 00:06:14,705

Marc Preston: where in Italy did you grow up?

177

00:06:15,206 --> 00:06:15,447

Fabiana Udenio: Rome.

178

00:06:15,908 --> 00:06:16,109

Marc Preston: Rome.

179

00:06:16,189 --> 00:06:18,084

Marc Preston: Okay, so Caccia Pepe Was the kind of the

180

00:06:18,124 --> 00:06:19,167

Marc Preston: thing you were eating there, i think.

181

00:06:19,187 --> 00:06:19,629

Fabiana Udenio: Caccia Pepe.

182

00:06:19,649 --> 00:06:22,105

Fabiana Udenio: Come in and say Caccia Pepe Matriciana

183

00:06:22,125 --> 00:06:22,826

Fabiana Udenio: Carbonara.

184

00:06:23,768 --> 00:06:25,091

Fabiana Udenio: I'm getting hungry too now.

185

00:06:26,000 --> 00:06:27,806

Marc Preston: So how old were you when you came over to

186

00:06:27,826 --> 00:06:28,247

Marc Preston: the US?

187

00:06:29,100 --> 00:06:29,341

Fabiana Udenio: Funny.

188

00:06:29,421 --> 00:06:33,392

Fabiana Udenio: Initially I came in 1984 for the Olympic

189

00:06:33,453 --> 00:06:34,155

Fabiana Udenio: Arts Festival.

190

00:06:34,195 --> 00:06:38,905

Fabiana Udenio: I was doing the Tempest with this very

191

00:06:38,965 --> 00:06:43,413

Fabiana Udenio: famous theater company in Italy, directed

192

00:06:43,433 --> 00:06:45,546

Fabiana Udenio: by Estrella, and we toured the world.

193

00:06:45,586 --> 00:06:48,357

Fabiana Udenio: We went to Paris and we went in 1984.

194

00:06:48,377 --> 00:06:51,472

Fabiana Udenio: We came to the Olympic Arts Festival, so we

195

00:06:51,492 --> 00:06:51,834

Fabiana Udenio: came to Paris.

196

00:06:51,854 --> 00:06:52,980

Marc Preston: And that was in LA, correct, that was in.

197

00:06:53,261 --> 00:06:56,668

Fabiana Udenio: LA yes, We performed at the Royce Hall

198

00:06:56,808 --> 00:07:00,403

Fabiana Udenio: Royce Hall, I still remember it UCLA.

199

00:07:00,984 --> 00:07:01,866

Fabiana Udenio: And then we went to New York.

200

00:07:01,886 --> 00:07:05,513

Fabiana Udenio: So that was my first time coming to the

201

00:07:05,573 --> 00:07:05,954

Fabiana Udenio: states.

202

00:07:06,481 --> 00:07:09,788

Fabiana Udenio: And then, a year after I was cast in 1985,

203

00:07:09,808 --> 00:07:17,023

Fabiana Udenio: 1986, I was cast to play this character in

204

00:07:17,143 --> 00:07:17,925

Fabiana Udenio: One Life to Live.

205

00:07:18,507 --> 00:07:20,994

Fabiana Udenio: So I went to New York for a year And I

206

00:07:21,054 --> 00:07:27,087

Fabiana Udenio: played this character regular on the soap

207

00:07:27,127 --> 00:07:28,149

Fabiana Udenio: opera One Life to Live.

208

00:07:28,770 --> 00:07:31,621

Fabiana Udenio: So I got to experience that for a year And

209

00:07:31,682 --> 00:07:35,470

Fabiana Udenio: I really wanted to stay in the states But I

210

00:07:35,490 --> 00:07:37,321

Fabiana Udenio: didn't know whether that was going to be

211

00:07:37,361 --> 00:07:37,762

Fabiana Udenio: possible.

212

00:07:37,782 --> 00:07:40,789

Marc Preston: So I went from New York to Los Angeles And

213

00:07:40,830 --> 00:07:43,163

Marc Preston: within two months I got the movie Summer

214

00:07:43,183 --> 00:07:45,930

Marc Preston: School, which I'm sure your kids I don't

215

00:07:45,950 --> 00:07:49,406

Marc Preston: know- You know I will say I think my sons

216

00:07:49,486 --> 00:07:51,932

Marc Preston: watched it, but for me, as a Gen X kid,

217

00:07:52,301 --> 00:07:55,248

Marc Preston: it's on the Mount Rushmore of movies from

218

00:07:55,288 --> 00:07:57,121

Marc Preston: back, because everybody wanted Marc Harmon

219

00:07:57,141 --> 00:07:58,148

Marc Preston: to be their summer school teacher.

220

00:07:58,228 --> 00:07:59,940

Marc Preston: After that movie, and I think after you

221

00:08:00,341 --> 00:08:01,525

Marc Preston: were in it, i think there's probably

222

00:08:01,565 --> 00:08:02,709

Marc Preston: thousands of young men that were

223

00:08:03,000 --> 00:08:04,886

Marc Preston: petitioning their parents to can we do a

224

00:08:04,946 --> 00:08:06,451

Marc Preston: foreign exchange student for the area?

225

00:08:07,948 --> 00:08:10,945

Marc Preston: So Coming from Rome and doing that movie

226

00:08:10,965 --> 00:08:13,222

Marc Preston: and just walking around LA, what was it

227

00:08:13,262 --> 00:08:14,104

Marc Preston: like when you first started getting

228

00:08:14,205 --> 00:08:14,927

Marc Preston: recognized?

229

00:08:15,107 --> 00:08:15,970

Marc Preston: People knew who you were.

230

00:08:16,050 --> 00:08:16,601

Marc Preston: What was that Like?

231

00:08:16,621 --> 00:08:18,086

Marc Preston: was that a little bit odd for you to be

232

00:08:18,166 --> 00:08:19,210

Marc Preston: recognized at that point?

233

00:08:20,180 --> 00:08:21,746

Fabiana Udenio: Actually, when I was doing the soap opera

234

00:08:21,766 --> 00:08:24,507

Fabiana Udenio: in New York, that was interesting because

235

00:08:24,527 --> 00:08:26,200

Fabiana Udenio: the soap operas had kind of a following.

236

00:08:26,320 --> 00:08:29,033

Fabiana Udenio: So they were asking, especially at the ABC

237

00:08:29,073 --> 00:08:30,661

Fabiana Udenio: Studios right there Lincoln Center, they

238

00:08:30,681 --> 00:08:32,127

Fabiana Udenio: were asking for autographs and stuff like.

239

00:08:32,147 --> 00:08:36,003

Fabiana Udenio: So I was Julietta, julietta Doing summer

240

00:08:36,023 --> 00:08:40,064

Fabiana Udenio: school, getting cast in that The biggest

241

00:08:40,145 --> 00:08:42,830

Fabiana Udenio: emotion was to go to the Paramount Studios

242

00:08:43,090 --> 00:08:45,362

Fabiana Udenio: and just see the Paramount sign and going

243

00:08:45,402 --> 00:08:47,189

Fabiana Udenio: into the Paramount Studios.

244

00:08:48,823 --> 00:08:49,807

Fabiana Udenio: So that was a kick.

245

00:08:53,726 --> 00:08:58,697

Fabiana Udenio: And so getting recognized was that it kind

246

00:08:58,737 --> 00:08:59,980

Fabiana Udenio: of grew, summer school kind of grew.

247

00:09:00,020 --> 00:09:06,849

Fabiana Udenio: It didn't was immediately huge So, but I

248

00:09:06,889 --> 00:09:08,372

Fabiana Udenio: didn't have any trouble with it, i kind of

249

00:09:08,392 --> 00:09:08,733

Fabiana Udenio: liked it.

250

00:09:09,421 --> 00:09:10,586

Marc Preston: What were you wanting to do when you were

251

00:09:10,626 --> 00:09:10,807

Marc Preston: young?

252

00:09:11,621 --> 00:09:13,648

Marc Preston: Was it always a track of performance of

253

00:09:13,688 --> 00:09:14,109

Marc Preston: some sort?

254

00:09:14,903 --> 00:09:16,100

Fabiana Udenio: Yes, i always wanted to.

255

00:09:16,200 --> 00:09:18,326

Fabiana Udenio: I don't know, since I was seven years,

256

00:09:18,446 --> 00:09:20,412

Fabiana Udenio: eight, nine, i wanted to be an actress.

257

00:09:20,861 --> 00:09:23,349

Fabiana Udenio: I was my sister, who's older than me, tells

258

00:09:23,389 --> 00:09:27,206

Fabiana Udenio: me that I was imitating commercials all the

259

00:09:27,246 --> 00:09:29,408

Fabiana Udenio: time And I just you know, i don't know.

260

00:09:29,901 --> 00:09:31,968

Fabiana Udenio: And then I was 11 or 12.

261

00:09:32,121 --> 00:09:33,840

Fabiana Udenio: I wanted to do acting classes.

262

00:09:33,940 --> 00:09:36,129

Fabiana Udenio: I did a little theater in the neighborhood

263

00:09:36,740 --> 00:09:41,150

Fabiana Udenio: And then I won Miss Teen Italy when I was

264

00:09:41,791 --> 00:09:42,793

Fabiana Udenio: 12 and a half.

265

00:09:42,961 --> 00:09:45,197

Fabiana Udenio: That's Italian for you, really Well that

266

00:09:45,217 --> 00:09:45,984

Fabiana Udenio: wasn't even That's.

267

00:09:46,024 --> 00:09:47,902

Fabiana Udenio: That's that's not quite legal, but you know.

268

00:09:47,922 --> 00:09:50,050

Fabiana Udenio: So they wanted to take the title away from

269

00:09:50,131 --> 00:09:52,299

Fabiana Udenio: me because I don't know if it's right or

270

00:09:52,339 --> 00:09:52,500

Fabiana Udenio: wrong.

271

00:09:52,620 --> 00:09:53,944

Fabiana Udenio: I don't know legally what it would be,

272

00:09:54,987 --> 00:09:57,601

Fabiana Udenio: because I'm born in December And I think

273

00:09:57,662 --> 00:10:01,411

Fabiana Udenio: the title, the competition, was before my

274

00:10:01,471 --> 00:10:01,952

Fabiana Udenio: birthday.

275

00:10:02,400 --> 00:10:05,009

Fabiana Udenio: So I wasn't quite a teenager technically,

276

00:10:05,380 --> 00:10:08,154

Fabiana Udenio: but I kept the title because you know

277

00:10:08,347 --> 00:10:08,567

Fabiana Udenio: there's.

278

00:10:08,647 --> 00:10:11,393

Marc Preston: But still in Italy, being that young and

279

00:10:11,493 --> 00:10:14,526

Marc Preston: having, was it really big, was it?

280

00:10:14,821 --> 00:10:16,326

Marc Preston: Obviously it's a big competition, but it

281

00:10:16,366 --> 00:10:18,063

Marc Preston: wasn't something that gave you an aspect of

282

00:10:18,124 --> 00:10:20,116

Marc Preston: notoriety to people say, oh, this girl,

283

00:10:20,156 --> 00:10:23,008

Marc Preston: fabiana, you know she's only 12 or 13, but

284

00:10:23,048 --> 00:10:26,063

Marc Preston: she was in a big deal, or Yeah, it was, it

285

00:10:26,103 --> 00:10:27,087

Marc Preston: was, it was a big deal.

286

00:10:27,400 --> 00:10:31,732

Fabiana Udenio: It was sort of like in a pageant kind of a

287

00:10:31,812 --> 00:10:34,680

Fabiana Udenio: way, without any sort of way, you know,

288

00:10:34,780 --> 00:10:36,652

Fabiana Udenio: like a pet, like you know there is still a

289

00:10:36,753 --> 00:10:38,121

Fabiana Udenio: talent competition, but it's still like

290

00:10:38,161 --> 00:10:38,684

Fabiana Udenio: it's a pageant.

291

00:10:39,321 --> 00:10:41,592

Fabiana Udenio: But what happened to me right after I got

292

00:10:41,632 --> 00:10:43,662

Fabiana Udenio: cast in the Tempest to play Mirana, that

293

00:10:43,702 --> 00:10:44,505

Fabiana Udenio: was a big deal.

294

00:10:45,160 --> 00:10:47,746

Fabiana Udenio: The theater director, george Ostrich, he's

295

00:10:47,786 --> 00:10:51,382

Fabiana Udenio: like he was an icon of the theater all over

296

00:10:51,503 --> 00:10:54,727

Fabiana Udenio: Europe And so to be cast so young in that

297

00:10:55,309 --> 00:11:00,390

Fabiana Udenio: sort of gave me three, 16, away, a prestige

298

00:11:01,052 --> 00:11:03,763

Fabiana Udenio: and weighed as an actor And for a while

299

00:11:03,824 --> 00:11:05,088

Fabiana Udenio: that's all I wanted to do.

300

00:11:05,160 --> 00:11:07,563

Marc Preston: I wanted to do theater, i wanted to was it

301

00:11:07,623 --> 00:11:09,308

Marc Preston: intimidating for you at all being that

302

00:11:09,369 --> 00:11:11,184

Marc Preston: young and then jumping into this, this

303

00:11:11,224 --> 00:11:12,568

Marc Preston: thing and getting that kind of recognition?

304

00:11:12,668 --> 00:11:13,190

Fabiana Udenio: It was.

305

00:11:15,581 --> 00:11:19,129

Fabiana Udenio: I was completely in love with theater and I

306

00:11:19,190 --> 00:11:22,706

Fabiana Udenio: was so passionate And it was, yes, that's

307

00:11:22,746 --> 00:11:22,847

Fabiana Udenio: all.

308

00:11:22,867 --> 00:11:24,030

Fabiana Udenio: I wanted to be Juliet.

309

00:11:24,110 --> 00:11:26,565

Fabiana Udenio: After that It was intimidating, but I was.

310

00:11:26,686 --> 00:11:27,809

Fabiana Udenio: I worked so hard.

311

00:11:28,900 --> 00:11:30,245

Fabiana Udenio: He gave me a lot of confidence.

312

00:11:31,843 --> 00:11:34,304

Fabiana Udenio: He's he's a maestro of that, but he did

313

00:11:34,685 --> 00:11:35,007

Fabiana Udenio: like me.

314

00:11:35,100 --> 00:11:38,147

Fabiana Udenio: He did like the fact that I was so raw and

315

00:11:38,227 --> 00:11:41,821

Fabiana Udenio: young and Miranda much like Juliet, juliet,

316

00:11:42,002 --> 00:11:44,589

Fabiana Udenio: juliet and Miranda they are she is very

317

00:11:44,690 --> 00:11:48,146

Fabiana Udenio: young And so there were some qualities that

318

00:11:48,226 --> 00:11:52,794

Fabiana Udenio: he was able to to to use of the young.

319

00:11:52,940 --> 00:11:55,507

Fabiana Udenio: You know the innocence of this that I was

320

00:11:55,627 --> 00:11:58,121

Fabiana Udenio: bringing to the stage, to the table, just

321

00:11:58,482 --> 00:12:00,849

Fabiana Udenio: for the fact that who I was and how hard I

322

00:12:00,909 --> 00:12:01,451

Fabiana Udenio: was working.

323

00:12:02,042 --> 00:12:04,527

Fabiana Udenio: I was going to school, i was working hard

324

00:12:05,050 --> 00:12:06,820

Fabiana Udenio: and I just absolutely loved it.

325

00:12:06,920 --> 00:12:08,025

Fabiana Udenio: That's all I wanted to do.

326

00:12:08,900 --> 00:12:12,141

Fabiana Udenio: But then, after the theater, i started

327

00:12:12,943 --> 00:12:16,169

Fabiana Udenio: falling in love with, with American cinema

328

00:12:16,449 --> 00:12:18,834

Fabiana Udenio: and method, acting and studies.

329

00:12:18,894 --> 00:12:20,811

Marc Preston: Last, Well before that were you into things

330

00:12:20,992 --> 00:12:22,982

Marc Preston: like Fellini and you know, were you really

331

00:12:23,042 --> 00:12:25,650

Marc Preston: into the Italian cinema, or was this?

332

00:12:25,890 --> 00:12:26,191

Fabiana Udenio: theater.

333

00:12:26,300 --> 00:12:26,743

Marc Preston: What was your?

334

00:12:26,763 --> 00:12:28,634

Marc Preston: what was your introduction to cinema?

335

00:12:28,795 --> 00:12:29,660

Marc Preston: What was your introduction?

336

00:12:29,761 --> 00:12:30,244

Marc Preston: Was it the?

337

00:12:30,304 --> 00:12:32,157

Marc Preston: was it the Italian stuff or was the the

338

00:12:32,197 --> 00:12:32,620

Marc Preston: American stuff?

339

00:12:32,660 --> 00:12:33,885

Marc Preston: What had the most impact on you?

340

00:12:34,481 --> 00:12:36,186

Fabiana Udenio: After the theater was the American stuff?

341

00:12:37,088 --> 00:12:37,750

Fabiana Udenio: Yeah, sort of.

342

00:12:38,345 --> 00:12:39,478

Marc Preston: Well, like, what kind of movies were you

343

00:12:39,498 --> 00:12:39,660

Marc Preston: watching?

344

00:12:39,740 --> 00:12:43,550

Fabiana Udenio: You know, i mean maybe Kramer versus Kramer

345

00:12:43,850 --> 00:12:45,803

Fabiana Udenio: with Mary Strip, and I think my parents

346

00:12:45,823 --> 00:12:48,169

Fabiana Udenio: were getting divorced and and at the time I

347

00:12:48,189 --> 00:12:51,666

Fabiana Udenio: can't remember the year, but or the, or the

348

00:12:51,726 --> 00:12:52,989

Fabiana Udenio: one with Robert De Niro, mary Strip, the

349

00:12:53,029 --> 00:12:59,024

Fabiana Udenio: other head, oh my goodness, the famous

350

00:12:59,064 --> 00:13:03,403

Fabiana Udenio: movie with Robert De Niro, mary Strip, the

351

00:13:03,443 --> 00:13:05,348

Fabiana Udenio: Russian roulette thing, oh my God, i can't

352

00:13:05,388 --> 00:13:08,410

Fabiana Udenio: come up with a name, the title, oh, anyway,

353

00:13:08,430 --> 00:13:09,660

Fabiana Udenio: so Robert De Niro.

354

00:13:09,720 --> 00:13:11,134

Marc Preston: I'm sure somebody will research that real

355

00:13:11,154 --> 00:13:11,800

Marc Preston: quick and find out.

356

00:13:11,920 --> 00:13:13,464

Fabiana Udenio: The movie with De Niro was called the catch

357

00:13:13,504 --> 00:13:14,687

Fabiana Udenio: a door in Italian.

358

00:13:15,830 --> 00:13:17,142

Marc Preston: Catch a door The hand.

359

00:13:19,541 --> 00:13:21,980

Marc Preston: Anyway yeah, i'm kind of at that age, right,

360

00:13:22,381 --> 00:13:23,624

Marc Preston: i just assume I'm going to forget.

361

00:13:23,684 --> 00:13:25,529

Marc Preston: Whenever I try, my brain tries to actively

362

00:13:25,609 --> 00:13:27,586

Marc Preston: remember a name is when my brain goes no,

363

00:13:27,626 --> 00:13:28,714

Marc Preston: you're not going to be able to do that,

364

00:13:28,855 --> 00:13:29,500

Marc Preston: which is embarrassing.

365

00:13:29,520 --> 00:13:30,750

Marc Preston: When you're out with people and you try to

366

00:13:30,770 --> 00:13:32,000

Marc Preston: introduce them and your brain goes nope,

367

00:13:32,060 --> 00:13:33,344

Marc Preston: you're not going to remember the name right

368

00:13:33,384 --> 00:13:33,525

Marc Preston: now.

369

00:13:33,545 --> 00:13:35,390

Marc Preston: Terrible names, terrible names.

370

00:13:35,460 --> 00:13:37,166

Marc Preston: So what were your parents embracing this

371

00:13:37,226 --> 00:13:39,603

Marc Preston: thing you were doing, because here you're

372

00:13:39,624 --> 00:13:40,445

Marc Preston: doing this pageant.

373

00:13:40,485 --> 00:13:43,993

Marc Preston: You're doing, i'm assuming that the theater

374

00:13:44,033 --> 00:13:44,133

Marc Preston: thing.

375

00:13:44,364 --> 00:13:45,963

Marc Preston: That was a touring thing, that just wasn't

376

00:13:45,983 --> 00:13:46,485

Marc Preston: at one theater.

377

00:13:47,241 --> 00:13:48,606

Marc Preston: So were your parents okay with that, or

378

00:13:48,666 --> 00:13:49,509

Marc Preston: were they hesitant?

379

00:13:49,740 --> 00:13:52,385

Fabiana Udenio: My mother had to follow me because the

380

00:13:52,425 --> 00:13:54,229

Fabiana Udenio: structure in Italy they weren't so

381

00:13:54,249 --> 00:13:57,881

Fabiana Udenio: accustomed to underage performers Like here

382

00:13:57,922 --> 00:14:00,368

Fabiana Udenio: you have a whole system of schooling and

383

00:14:00,408 --> 00:14:00,548

Fabiana Udenio: rules.

384

00:14:03,261 --> 00:14:04,085

Fabiana Udenio: It wasn't so much.

385

00:14:04,420 --> 00:14:06,325

Fabiana Udenio: I don't know how it is right now for

386

00:14:06,626 --> 00:14:08,650

Fabiana Udenio: somebody that's underage, but at the time

387

00:14:08,731 --> 00:14:09,172

Fabiana Udenio: it wasn't.

388

00:14:09,580 --> 00:14:11,651

Fabiana Udenio: So my mother had to follow me and my mother

389

00:14:11,711 --> 00:14:13,179

Fabiana Udenio: completely embraced it, but it wasn't.

390

00:14:13,199 --> 00:14:16,007

Fabiana Udenio: She wasn't like the stage mom because it

391

00:14:16,048 --> 00:14:16,990

Fabiana Udenio: was my passion.

392

00:14:18,522 --> 00:14:21,810

Fabiana Udenio: So she supported me, but it didn't come

393

00:14:21,870 --> 00:14:23,233

Fabiana Udenio: from her, it really came from me.

394

00:14:23,340 --> 00:14:25,024

Fabiana Udenio: And then she, of course she supported me

395

00:14:25,084 --> 00:14:30,162

Fabiana Udenio: and my sister liked writing And so I used

396

00:14:30,222 --> 00:14:30,483

Fabiana Udenio: to.

397

00:14:30,784 --> 00:14:35,596

Fabiana Udenio: When I was invited in Italy to TV shows and

398

00:14:35,637 --> 00:14:38,961

Fabiana Udenio: talk shows I used to recite her poems And

399

00:14:39,361 --> 00:14:40,163

Fabiana Udenio: so that was.

400

00:14:40,684 --> 00:14:41,846

Fabiana Udenio: She stopped doing that, but she was a

401

00:14:41,927 --> 00:14:44,331

Fabiana Udenio: really, really talented writer.

402

00:14:44,432 --> 00:14:47,981

Fabiana Udenio: For her She did road poems and things, but

403

00:14:48,042 --> 00:14:49,325

Fabiana Udenio: so my mom didn't embrace it and they'd

404

00:14:49,345 --> 00:14:50,689

Fabiana Udenio: support me, but it didn't come from her.

405

00:14:51,180 --> 00:14:53,825

Fabiana Udenio: She didn't push me, not even for the teen

406

00:14:53,926 --> 00:14:54,167

Fabiana Udenio: thing.

407

00:14:55,343 --> 00:14:57,249

Fabiana Udenio: It was my wanting to do it.

408

00:14:57,882 --> 00:14:59,307

Marc Preston: Well, where did your interest come from,

409

00:14:59,347 --> 00:14:59,507

Marc Preston: though?

410

00:15:00,020 --> 00:15:01,025

Marc Preston: What was the genesis of that?

411

00:15:01,705 --> 00:15:03,040

Marc Preston: Were you a precocious child?

412

00:15:03,141 --> 00:15:04,897

Marc Preston: I mean, were you or were you shy when you

413

00:15:04,917 --> 00:15:05,220

Marc Preston: were growing up?

414

00:15:05,240 --> 00:15:07,968

Fabiana Udenio: I think I was full of energy, not shy, when

415

00:15:08,008 --> 00:15:08,911

Fabiana Udenio: I was growing up.

416

00:15:08,960 --> 00:15:11,167

Fabiana Udenio: I think I became a little bit more shy

417

00:15:11,247 --> 00:15:15,225

Fabiana Udenio: later And I think maybe acting or

418

00:15:15,646 --> 00:15:19,693

Fabiana Udenio: performing it's always been my therapy and

419

00:15:19,753 --> 00:15:20,274

Fabiana Udenio: escape.

420

00:15:20,740 --> 00:15:24,125

Fabiana Udenio: Every time I was nothing mattered and it

421

00:15:24,185 --> 00:15:29,452

Fabiana Udenio: was catapulting me in a state of happiness

422

00:15:29,533 --> 00:15:30,254

Fabiana Udenio: and escape.

423

00:15:30,274 --> 00:15:31,375

Fabiana Udenio: It was like the great escape.

424

00:15:31,680 --> 00:15:34,921

Fabiana Udenio: I never did any call, it's just them, and I

425

00:15:34,961 --> 00:15:37,048

Fabiana Udenio: think it stayed that way throughout my life.

426

00:15:37,460 --> 00:15:41,131

Fabiana Udenio: It's this outlet, amazing outlet and fun,

427

00:15:41,552 --> 00:15:43,980

Fabiana Udenio: addictive escape.

428

00:15:45,104 --> 00:15:45,627

Fabiana Udenio: That's like it.

429

00:15:45,880 --> 00:15:48,322

Marc Preston: Well, that's the thing I coach a lot of

430

00:15:48,984 --> 00:15:49,345

Marc Preston: some students.

431

00:15:49,385 --> 00:15:52,180

Marc Preston: Even an actor is in LA on a voiceover And I

432

00:15:52,220 --> 00:15:53,504

Marc Preston: always say, when you shut the door on that

433

00:15:53,564 --> 00:15:55,911

Marc Preston: sound booth, the whole world stays outside

434

00:15:56,080 --> 00:15:57,244

Marc Preston: And it's just like when you're on camera.

435

00:15:57,264 --> 00:15:59,822

Marc Preston: You can disappear for a moment And to me

436

00:15:59,863 --> 00:16:00,485

Marc Preston: it's cathartic.

437

00:16:01,980 --> 00:16:03,683

Marc Preston: You can kind of disappear and use your

438

00:16:03,703 --> 00:16:05,226

Marc Preston: imagination to be more kid-like.

439

00:16:05,446 --> 00:16:07,250

Fabiana Udenio: Absolutely True.

440

00:16:07,671 --> 00:16:09,514

Fabiana Udenio: True, and I love voiceover too.

441

00:16:09,760 --> 00:16:11,345

Marc Preston: Oh, I noticed you did do some of that

442

00:16:11,365 --> 00:16:11,706

Marc Preston: yourself.

443

00:16:11,727 --> 00:16:11,827

Marc Preston: I did.

444

00:16:12,820 --> 00:16:14,065

Fabiana Udenio: I did a lot of it individually, but here

445

00:16:14,125 --> 00:16:17,025

Fabiana Udenio: too, and when you do voiceover, it's even

446

00:16:17,366 --> 00:16:19,211

Fabiana Udenio: more because you don't have to even, not

447

00:16:19,271 --> 00:16:20,543

Fabiana Udenio: even more or less, but you don't have to

448

00:16:20,583 --> 00:16:21,968

Fabiana Udenio: worry about your look.

449

00:16:22,140 --> 00:16:23,940

Fabiana Udenio: It's just sometimes very liberating.

450

00:16:24,241 --> 00:16:25,406

Fabiana Udenio: You know you go with it whatever.

451

00:16:26,180 --> 00:16:26,942

Fabiana Udenio: So it's a different.

452

00:16:27,122 --> 00:16:30,592

Fabiana Udenio: but I love all sides of the craft.

453

00:16:30,740 --> 00:16:31,243

Fabiana Udenio: I really do.

454

00:16:31,740 --> 00:16:33,084

Marc Preston: Did your sister follow you into

455

00:16:33,685 --> 00:16:35,109

Marc Preston: entertainment at all, or did she go a

456

00:16:35,129 --> 00:16:35,691

Marc Preston: different path?

457

00:16:36,522 --> 00:16:37,566

Fabiana Udenio: No, she went a different path.

458

00:16:38,260 --> 00:16:40,868

Fabiana Udenio: She liked traveling, so she was a flight

459

00:16:40,888 --> 00:16:44,086

Fabiana Udenio: attendant And she traveled a lot more than

460

00:16:44,146 --> 00:16:44,407

Fabiana Udenio: I did.

461

00:16:45,760 --> 00:16:47,305

Marc Preston: You know, my daughter, my 17-year-old,

462

00:16:47,445 --> 00:16:48,207

Marc Preston: really wants to.

463

00:16:48,268 --> 00:16:48,950

Marc Preston: She has this whole plan.

464

00:16:49,741 --> 00:16:51,386

Marc Preston: She did both her junior and senior year

465

00:16:51,426 --> 00:16:53,883

Marc Preston: together, just wrapped them up And she's

466

00:16:53,904 --> 00:16:55,965

Marc Preston: very smart And she said she wants to travel.

467

00:16:56,180 --> 00:16:58,265

Marc Preston: So she wants to do travel as a flight

468

00:16:58,305 --> 00:16:59,528

Marc Preston: attendant early.

469

00:16:59,568 --> 00:17:01,272

Marc Preston: She's smart, she's all doing my early 20s

470

00:17:01,620 --> 00:17:03,125

Marc Preston: And if I decide it's not for me, then I got

471

00:17:03,145 --> 00:17:03,607

Marc Preston: the degree.

472

00:17:03,647 --> 00:17:05,202

Marc Preston: I can go do something else, but if I like

473

00:17:05,222 --> 00:17:06,206

Marc Preston: it, i'm just going to keep doing it.

474

00:17:06,246 --> 00:17:07,089

Marc Preston: I'll have seniority.

475

00:17:08,944 --> 00:17:10,909

Marc Preston: But I grew up in Dallas, where you have

476

00:17:10,949 --> 00:17:12,942

Marc Preston: American Airlines based there, and I met

477

00:17:13,022 --> 00:17:14,441

Marc Preston: all kinds of flight attendants And I always

478

00:17:14,582 --> 00:17:15,566

Marc Preston: envied their lifestyle.

479

00:17:15,660 --> 00:17:17,326

Marc Preston: They could just go jump on a plane and go

480

00:17:17,386 --> 00:17:18,369

Marc Preston: somewhere if they wanted to.

481

00:17:18,600 --> 00:17:19,585

Fabiana Udenio: My sister did love it.

482

00:17:20,123 --> 00:17:21,677

Fabiana Udenio: She was based in Italy, She was working for

483

00:17:21,717 --> 00:17:25,487

Fabiana Udenio: Italy And then at Italy like many things in

484

00:17:25,547 --> 00:17:27,691

Fabiana Udenio: Italy went sort of bankrupt.

485

00:17:27,752 --> 00:17:30,064

Fabiana Udenio: So they downsized And she went into

486

00:17:30,084 --> 00:17:32,441

Fabiana Udenio: retirement from her job a little early And

487

00:17:32,461 --> 00:17:33,786

Fabiana Udenio: she missed it for a long time.

488

00:17:34,360 --> 00:17:35,744

Fabiana Udenio: I missed it too, because I used to get all

489

00:17:35,785 --> 00:17:39,094

Fabiana Udenio: these tickets, free tickets and all these

490

00:17:39,114 --> 00:17:39,475

Fabiana Udenio: perks.

491

00:17:43,547 --> 00:17:44,990

Marc Preston: The family tickets that they get.

492

00:17:45,030 --> 00:17:46,713

Fabiana Udenio: Yes, i missed it too.

493

00:17:47,520 --> 00:17:49,781

Fabiana Udenio: I was very spoiled for a while living here

494

00:17:49,841 --> 00:17:52,883

Fabiana Udenio: and going there just for an objection or to

495

00:17:53,203 --> 00:17:53,543

Fabiana Udenio: whatever.

496

00:18:01,191 --> 00:18:02,815

Marc Preston: Now when you came here you were doing the

497

00:18:02,855 --> 00:18:04,338

Marc Preston: thing a lot of American actors do.

498

00:18:04,726 --> 00:18:06,732

Marc Preston: They have their the kickoff of their career

499

00:18:06,852 --> 00:18:09,289

Marc Preston: on soap operas, and I remember my

500

00:18:09,349 --> 00:18:11,415

Marc Preston: grandmother when I was always over at their

501

00:18:11,455 --> 00:18:13,909

Marc Preston: house at least once a week, stay over, and

502

00:18:13,929 --> 00:18:16,655

Marc Preston: then she was watching General Hospital and

503

00:18:16,715 --> 00:18:18,560

Marc Preston: I think one life till they're That's the

504

00:18:19,141 --> 00:18:20,808

Marc Preston: one I did And yeah, and so it's like I

505

00:18:20,848 --> 00:18:22,866

Marc Preston: became very aware of the character, i mean

506

00:18:22,946 --> 00:18:25,072

Marc Preston: more than probably a eight, nine, 10 year

507

00:18:25,092 --> 00:18:25,733

Marc Preston: old kid should.

508

00:18:25,834 --> 00:18:27,828

Marc Preston: But I think that a lot of kids grew up like

509

00:18:27,869 --> 00:18:28,431

Marc Preston: that, you know.

510

00:18:28,945 --> 00:18:30,592

Marc Preston: But a lot of those actors then and I've

511

00:18:30,632 --> 00:18:33,022

Marc Preston: interviewed a number of them that you are

512

00:18:33,343 --> 00:18:34,869

Marc Preston: doing really well now that had their start

513

00:18:35,551 --> 00:18:37,829

Marc Preston: in soap opera, and the funny thing about

514

00:18:37,849 --> 00:18:39,795

Marc Preston: that is how fast you have to learn the

515

00:18:39,855 --> 00:18:40,256

Marc Preston: scripts.

516

00:18:40,445 --> 00:18:42,010

Marc Preston: I mean, were there any challenges?

517

00:18:42,070 --> 00:18:43,574

Marc Preston: when you went from doing stage to doing

518

00:18:43,615 --> 00:18:44,116

Marc Preston: soap opera?

519

00:18:44,185 --> 00:18:45,969

Marc Preston: You had got a new script frequently and you

520

00:18:45,990 --> 00:18:46,992

Marc Preston: have to learn it pretty quick.

521

00:18:47,032 --> 00:18:47,734

Marc Preston: Was that a challenge?

522

00:18:47,754 --> 00:18:48,757

Fabiana Udenio: for you, absolutely.

523

00:18:49,265 --> 00:18:51,172

Fabiana Udenio: And then the language, because they cast me

524

00:18:51,232 --> 00:18:51,614

Fabiana Udenio: in Italy.

525

00:18:52,847 --> 00:18:55,692

Fabiana Udenio: They were on location and I was supposed

526

00:18:55,712 --> 00:18:58,897

Fabiana Udenio: tothis character was supposed to be working

527

00:18:58,977 --> 00:19:03,012

Fabiana Udenio: fora couple of weeks and then they liked it

528

00:19:03,133 --> 00:19:04,557

Fabiana Udenio: and they offered me the contract.

529

00:19:04,625 --> 00:19:07,975

Fabiana Udenio: So I went well, go to New York and love the

530

00:19:07,995 --> 00:19:08,115

Fabiana Udenio: idea.

531

00:19:08,425 --> 00:19:11,111

Fabiana Udenio: But the work was hard because, yes, you do

532

00:19:11,191 --> 00:19:14,217

Fabiana Udenio: have to learn all of that fast and it was

533

00:19:14,257 --> 00:19:14,938

Fabiana Udenio: another language.

534

00:19:15,225 --> 00:19:16,813

Fabiana Udenio: So usually when you're in command of the

535

00:19:16,853 --> 00:19:18,502

Fabiana Udenio: language, if you forget a line, you kind of

536

00:19:18,542 --> 00:19:22,089

Fabiana Udenio: like work around with it, but if I forgot

537

00:19:22,129 --> 00:19:25,005

Fabiana Udenio: the line I couldn't replace it with Well,

538

00:19:25,025 --> 00:19:26,610

Fabiana Udenio: you could improv in Italian and kind of

539

00:19:26,630 --> 00:19:27,833

Fabiana Udenio: give it a little something extra.

540

00:19:27,853 --> 00:19:29,847

Fabiana Udenio: Yeah, I could, but it was a little bit more

541

00:19:29,867 --> 00:19:32,975

Fabiana Udenio: challenging because you don't have a word

542

00:19:33,015 --> 00:19:35,189

Fabiana Udenio: that you can substitute and go on with the

543

00:19:35,229 --> 00:19:37,035

Fabiana Udenio: line or work around.

544

00:19:38,290 --> 00:19:42,870

Fabiana Udenio: So it was, and it taught me it was great

545

00:19:45,735 --> 00:19:49,220

Fabiana Udenio: practice for improving the language English.

546

00:19:49,785 --> 00:19:51,349

Marc Preston: Now, summer school had to come and that was

547

00:19:51,429 --> 00:19:54,877

Marc Preston: 87, I think was that roughly 87, 86, 87.

548

00:19:55,345 --> 00:19:56,490

Marc Preston: What was filming that like?

549

00:19:56,706 --> 00:19:58,715

Marc Preston: Because me, as a Gen X kid I think anybody

550

00:19:58,795 --> 00:20:00,925

Marc Preston: listening to this who is of a similar age

551

00:20:01,045 --> 00:20:02,791

Marc Preston: to me is thinking like if I don't ask, I'm

552

00:20:02,811 --> 00:20:03,514

Marc Preston: going to get in trouble.

553

00:20:03,945 --> 00:20:07,612

Marc Preston: What was it like shooting that film that I

554

00:20:07,632 --> 00:20:08,735

Marc Preston: guess y'all shot during the summer?

555

00:20:08,895 --> 00:20:09,416

Fabiana Udenio: Absolutely.

556

00:20:09,677 --> 00:20:10,398

Fabiana Udenio: Was it the summer?

557

00:20:10,965 --> 00:20:13,911

Fabiana Udenio: It wasn't that warm, but I can't remember

558

00:20:14,573 --> 00:20:17,078

Fabiana Udenio: what time of the year, maybe late summer,

559

00:20:17,098 --> 00:20:19,497

Fabiana Udenio: or because it wasn't really hot.

560

00:20:19,538 --> 00:20:20,484

Fabiana Udenio: I remember being on the beach.

561

00:20:20,545 --> 00:20:21,829

Marc Preston: Well, then again in Southern California it

562

00:20:21,849 --> 00:20:22,932

Marc Preston: always looks like summer, right.

563

00:20:23,945 --> 00:20:25,109

Fabiana Udenio: So, but I remember what it was called and I

564

00:20:25,149 --> 00:20:27,990

Fabiana Udenio: remember I was cold, so but it could happen

565

00:20:28,010 --> 00:20:28,773

Fabiana Udenio: that it was a cold day.

566

00:20:28,845 --> 00:20:31,730

Fabiana Udenio: I just remember being cold, but it was

567

00:20:31,790 --> 00:20:32,031

Fabiana Udenio: great.

568

00:20:32,586 --> 00:20:35,654

Fabiana Udenio: Carl Reiner was like a father figure for

569

00:20:35,874 --> 00:20:36,556

Fabiana Udenio: all of us.

570

00:20:37,567 --> 00:20:40,748

Marc Preston: Oh, that's right, You only had a very small

571

00:20:40,848 --> 00:20:42,533

Marc Preston: role at the very beginning, but he directed

572

00:20:42,553 --> 00:20:42,713

Marc Preston: that.

573

00:20:42,773 --> 00:20:43,756

Marc Preston: Totally forgot about that.

574

00:20:44,065 --> 00:20:46,926

Fabiana Udenio: He directed that movie, yes, and then Frank

575

00:20:46,966 --> 00:20:51,547

Fabiana Udenio: Ling from Full House wrote it And so Carl

576

00:20:51,567 --> 00:20:54,913

Fabiana Udenio: Reiner directed it and it was just a very,

577

00:20:55,193 --> 00:21:00,808

Fabiana Udenio: very fun set to be around And you felt

578

00:21:00,848 --> 00:21:03,654

Fabiana Udenio: completely safe and he allowed us to

579

00:21:03,775 --> 00:21:07,309

Fabiana Udenio: improvise And Marc Harman was a class act,

580

00:21:07,349 --> 00:21:10,296

Fabiana Udenio: but all the kids they had a lot of fun.

581

00:21:10,336 --> 00:21:12,588

Fabiana Udenio: The two would change And we actually just

582

00:21:12,628 --> 00:21:17,659

Fabiana Udenio: had an autograph signing and they were

583

00:21:17,739 --> 00:21:21,190

Fabiana Udenio: talking about how much they were having fun

584

00:21:21,405 --> 00:21:22,347

Fabiana Udenio: And I was having fun too.

585

00:21:22,387 --> 00:21:28,502

Fabiana Udenio: But much like my character, my command of

586

00:21:28,542 --> 00:21:30,527

Fabiana Udenio: the language, especially when it's about

587

00:21:30,687 --> 00:21:33,627

Fabiana Udenio: comedy wasn't 100%, so a lot of the stuff

588

00:21:33,647 --> 00:21:35,754

Fabiana Udenio: that we're laughing about I didn't really

589

00:21:35,814 --> 00:21:39,513

Fabiana Udenio: get, and so sometimes I was feeling left

590

00:21:39,653 --> 00:21:40,957

Fabiana Udenio: out of the joke.

591

00:21:41,325 --> 00:21:43,812

Marc Preston: Well, i think that probably was what was

592

00:21:44,013 --> 00:21:45,666

Marc Preston: part of the humor of the film, like you

593

00:21:45,686 --> 00:21:47,430

Marc Preston: weren't totally getting, especially when

594

00:21:47,450 --> 00:21:49,556

Marc Preston: they were showing you the horror film.

595

00:21:50,206 --> 00:21:51,810

Marc Preston: Yes, but it was like, okay, how's she going

596

00:21:51,830 --> 00:21:52,472

Marc Preston: to digest that?

597

00:21:52,492 --> 00:21:53,555

Marc Preston: she loves it, yes.

598

00:21:55,869 --> 00:21:56,290

Fabiana Udenio: And all the.

599

00:21:56,992 --> 00:21:58,096

Fabiana Udenio: It was a talented cast.

600

00:21:58,706 --> 00:22:01,653

Fabiana Udenio: These kids were, you know, and Carl Reiner

601

00:22:01,713 --> 00:22:03,377

Fabiana Udenio: just a father figure for all.

602

00:22:03,945 --> 00:22:09,056

Fabiana Udenio: It was a really wonderful, warm, welcoming

603

00:22:09,977 --> 00:22:10,318

Fabiana Udenio: set.

604

00:22:10,805 --> 00:22:12,490

Marc Preston: I just I'm so envious you had a chance to

605

00:22:12,630 --> 00:22:14,575

Marc Preston: act with and for Carl.

606

00:22:14,595 --> 00:22:15,526

Fabiana Udenio: Reiner You know.

607

00:22:15,626 --> 00:22:17,051

Marc Preston: Everybody in his family seems to be as

608

00:22:17,432 --> 00:22:18,234

Marc Preston: talented as well.

609

00:22:18,805 --> 00:22:20,170

Marc Preston: But, so, so do you start.

610

00:22:20,190 --> 00:22:22,508

Marc Preston: Are you still recognized for that Of the

611

00:22:22,548 --> 00:22:23,351

Marc Preston: things you've done?

612

00:22:23,391 --> 00:22:25,500

Marc Preston: when people meet you, what is it that they

613

00:22:25,560 --> 00:22:27,407

Marc Preston: like immediately jump to?

614

00:22:27,547 --> 00:22:29,853

Marc Preston: or when it comes to things on your resume?

615

00:22:29,933 --> 00:22:32,932

Fabiana Udenio: It's so hard Sometimes you sometimes you

616

00:22:32,952 --> 00:22:34,320

Fabiana Udenio: look familiar and you don't want to go

617

00:22:34,380 --> 00:22:36,632

Fabiana Udenio: through your resume because you're just

618

00:22:36,652 --> 00:22:38,381

Fabiana Udenio: going to start going and then maybe they

619

00:22:38,421 --> 00:22:39,807

Fabiana Udenio: know you because you were shopping in the

620

00:22:39,827 --> 00:22:41,012

Fabiana Udenio: same Marcet or something.

621

00:22:42,947 --> 00:22:45,311

Fabiana Udenio: So the thing that for a while it was summer

622

00:22:45,331 --> 00:22:50,725

Fabiana Udenio: school and then it was awesome powers, so

623

00:22:50,845 --> 00:22:53,990

Fabiana Udenio: that's probably the one that.

624

00:22:56,013 --> 00:23:01,220

Fabiana Udenio: And when I'm, when I'm not dressed up or no

625

00:23:01,260 --> 00:23:03,349

Fabiana Udenio: makeup or anything, people kind of they

626

00:23:03,369 --> 00:23:05,975

Fabiana Udenio: can't quite place it because I look so

627

00:23:06,035 --> 00:23:06,376

Fabiana Udenio: different.

628

00:23:07,645 --> 00:23:11,398

Fabiana Udenio: So I mean I look, yes, so so natural that

629

00:23:11,438 --> 00:23:13,585

Fabiana Udenio: they can't quite put two and two together

630

00:23:13,685 --> 00:23:14,147

Fabiana Udenio: with that.

631

00:23:15,485 --> 00:23:19,514

Fabiana Udenio: And then some people more recently were

632

00:23:19,574 --> 00:23:21,885

Fabiana Udenio: very, very big fans of Jane Divergent, so

633

00:23:21,925 --> 00:23:27,368

Fabiana Udenio: that had a really loyal following And so

634

00:23:27,408 --> 00:23:29,895

Fabiana Udenio: they were thinking of me.

635

00:23:30,778 --> 00:23:32,222

Fabiana Udenio: They were thinking about that one when they

636

00:23:32,262 --> 00:23:33,888

Fabiana Udenio: were, when they were seeing me.

637

00:23:35,405 --> 00:23:36,830

Marc Preston: Or is there a preference you've had over

638

00:23:36,850 --> 00:23:37,151

Marc Preston: the years?

639

00:23:37,192 --> 00:23:39,279

Marc Preston: since you have had so many years of

640

00:23:39,649 --> 00:23:40,804

Marc Preston: experience, different kind of projects?

641

00:23:40,945 --> 00:23:42,612

Marc Preston: Do you prefer the comedy thing or do you

642

00:23:42,633 --> 00:23:45,364

Marc Preston: prefer more dramatic roles, or is it really

643

00:23:45,384 --> 00:23:46,509

Marc Preston: making that much of a difference to you?

644

00:23:47,005 --> 00:23:47,970

Fabiana Udenio: I prefer drama.

645

00:23:48,565 --> 00:23:52,073

Fabiana Udenio: I think comedy is really hard because you

646

00:23:52,153 --> 00:23:54,137

Fabiana Udenio: never know until you see with an audience

647

00:23:54,157 --> 00:23:55,568

Fabiana Udenio: whether it works or not.

648

00:23:57,066 --> 00:24:00,555

Fabiana Udenio: But I have a good sense of humor and I've

649

00:24:00,575 --> 00:24:01,597

Fabiana Udenio: done a lot of work in comedy.

650

00:24:01,625 --> 00:24:02,884

Fabiana Udenio: I've done a lot of work in sitcoms.

651

00:24:02,945 --> 00:24:05,991

Fabiana Udenio: I mean I was able to survive as an actor

652

00:24:06,352 --> 00:24:09,399

Fabiana Udenio: doing a lot of sitcoms comedy because it's

653

00:24:09,525 --> 00:24:11,853

Fabiana Udenio: hard to find a woman at the time.

654

00:24:12,565 --> 00:24:14,228

Fabiana Udenio: If you're attractive and you can do comedy,

655

00:24:14,248 --> 00:24:17,875

Fabiana Udenio: you can kind of find a niche.

656

00:24:20,725 --> 00:24:24,794

Fabiana Udenio: So I've abused that.

657

00:24:26,886 --> 00:24:31,158

Fabiana Udenio: But my essence is more for the drama thing.

658

00:24:31,746 --> 00:24:33,694

Marc Preston: Well, actually the first episode of Foo Bar,

659

00:24:34,176 --> 00:24:36,505

Marc Preston: you weren't really focusing on any comedy.

660

00:24:36,926 --> 00:24:38,973

Marc Preston: It was kind of you were a little serious.

661

00:24:39,845 --> 00:24:42,333

Marc Preston: We've only seen the first episode, First

662

00:24:42,393 --> 00:24:45,751

Marc Preston: episode yeah, When I'm watching TV with my

663

00:24:45,791 --> 00:24:47,456

Marc Preston: daughter, usually we have to kind of vary

664

00:24:47,516 --> 00:24:49,329

Marc Preston: it up One episode for daddy and then

665

00:24:49,369 --> 00:24:49,991

Marc Preston: something for her.

666

00:24:51,085 --> 00:24:52,410

Marc Preston: While she's on her phone she's half paying

667

00:24:52,430 --> 00:24:52,772

Marc Preston: attention.

668

00:24:54,208 --> 00:24:55,612

Marc Preston: Do you have any kids as well?

669

00:24:56,034 --> 00:24:56,354

Fabiana Udenio: I do.

670

00:24:57,005 --> 00:24:59,091

Fabiana Udenio: I have a lot in common with my character

671

00:24:59,111 --> 00:24:59,532

Fabiana Udenio: with Tally.

672

00:25:01,486 --> 00:25:04,852

Fabiana Udenio: I do have a son And I did for a long time.

673

00:25:04,872 --> 00:25:06,702

Fabiana Udenio: I'm single mom and divorced and for a long

674

00:25:06,742 --> 00:25:08,229

Fabiana Udenio: time I did put family first.

675

00:25:09,426 --> 00:25:16,736

Fabiana Udenio: I had to sort of prioritize how to do that

676

00:25:16,877 --> 00:25:18,599

Fabiana Udenio: if you want to delegate parenthood or if

677

00:25:18,639 --> 00:25:19,681

Fabiana Udenio: you want to do it yourself.

678

00:25:20,067 --> 00:25:20,871

Marc Preston: How old is your son?

679

00:25:21,334 --> 00:25:22,018

Fabiana Udenio: He's 17 now.

680

00:25:22,279 --> 00:25:23,365

Marc Preston: I got one of those flavors also.

681

00:25:23,485 --> 00:25:24,730

Marc Preston: I got a 17-year-old also.

682

00:25:26,207 --> 00:25:27,051

Marc Preston: So what is it like for you now?

683

00:25:27,245 --> 00:25:28,790

Marc Preston: He's probably looking at college and

684

00:25:28,830 --> 00:25:29,873

Marc Preston: looking at what's next.

685

00:25:31,709 --> 00:25:36,048

Fabiana Udenio: My son is on the autism spectrum, so that's

686

00:25:36,068 --> 00:25:37,671

Fabiana Udenio: why he took a little bit more involvement

687

00:25:38,452 --> 00:25:43,599

Fabiana Udenio: on my side to allow him to blossom and grow.

688

00:25:43,619 --> 00:25:45,067

Fabiana Udenio: Especially at the beginning, early

689

00:25:45,087 --> 00:25:48,007

Fabiana Udenio: intervention is very crucial, so I decided

690

00:25:48,048 --> 00:25:50,113

Fabiana Udenio: that that was going to be my priority.

691

00:25:52,125 --> 00:25:54,345

Fabiana Udenio: It had its challenges and amazing rewards,

692

00:25:55,248 --> 00:25:56,132

Fabiana Udenio: and so he's doing great.

693

00:25:56,625 --> 00:25:58,311

Fabiana Udenio: He loves to travel and he speaks Italian

694

00:25:58,391 --> 00:25:58,893

Fabiana Udenio: and English.

695

00:25:59,405 --> 00:26:00,610

Marc Preston: What does he think about his mother seeing

696

00:26:00,630 --> 00:26:00,811

Marc Preston: you on?

697

00:26:00,985 --> 00:26:02,670

Marc Preston: Is he impressed whenever he sees you on

698

00:26:02,930 --> 00:26:04,455

Marc Preston: shows now made things you've done in the

699

00:26:04,495 --> 00:26:06,370

Marc Preston: past, Or is he like, just like, okay, mom

700

00:26:06,390 --> 00:26:06,932

Marc Preston: does this thing?

701

00:26:07,546 --> 00:26:08,931

Fabiana Udenio: You know, what he loves the most is

702

00:26:09,091 --> 00:26:14,735

Fabiana Udenio: Baywatch And so now he loved the Baywatch

703

00:26:14,956 --> 00:26:18,451

Fabiana Udenio: that he saw And now he loves the remake

704

00:26:18,511 --> 00:26:19,856

Fabiana Udenio: that they did from Baywatch.

705

00:26:20,186 --> 00:26:21,492

Fabiana Udenio: So he loves surfing and everything.

706

00:26:21,605 --> 00:26:23,130

Fabiana Udenio: So he was really impressed by the Baywatch

707

00:26:24,586 --> 00:26:27,033

Fabiana Udenio: And he does like it with this whole thing

708

00:26:27,233 --> 00:26:28,256

Fabiana Udenio: and Fubar and everything.

709

00:26:28,365 --> 00:26:30,513

Fabiana Udenio: He was kind of a little worried that he was

710

00:26:30,533 --> 00:26:33,844

Fabiana Udenio: going to disrupt his regular schedule of

711

00:26:33,864 --> 00:26:35,530

Fabiana Udenio: him going to Italy in the summer.

712

00:26:35,590 --> 00:26:36,995

Fabiana Udenio: You know when after the school is that?

713

00:26:37,085 --> 00:26:38,468

Fabiana Udenio: So he's mostly more self.

714

00:26:38,688 --> 00:26:40,532

Fabiana Udenio: You know like, is this going to change

715

00:26:40,612 --> 00:26:41,133

Fabiana Udenio: anything?

716

00:26:41,194 --> 00:26:42,015

Fabiana Udenio: What is this?

717

00:26:42,075 --> 00:26:43,057

Fabiana Udenio: What is the big deal?

718

00:26:44,246 --> 00:26:45,629

Marc Preston: And so kids on the spectrum, don't they

719

00:26:45,669 --> 00:26:48,554

Marc Preston: typically thrive and really like more of a

720

00:26:48,614 --> 00:26:50,898

Marc Preston: routine, based, you know lifestyle?

721

00:26:50,978 --> 00:26:54,090

Fabiana Udenio: Yes, So when I started involving him like

722

00:26:54,170 --> 00:26:57,326

Fabiana Udenio: oh my God, we could do this in Nacapucco So

723

00:26:57,346 --> 00:26:59,431

Fabiana Udenio: because he enjoyed being in Toronto with me

724

00:26:59,532 --> 00:27:02,118

Fabiana Udenio: filming he actually and when I started

725

00:27:02,285 --> 00:27:04,755

Fabiana Udenio: involving him too much on sort of the

726

00:27:04,815 --> 00:27:07,083

Fabiana Udenio: roller coaster that could can be being an

727

00:27:07,184 --> 00:27:11,054

Fabiana Udenio: actor and auditioning, i saw that that

728

00:27:11,094 --> 00:27:11,836

Fabiana Udenio: wasn't for him.

729

00:27:12,145 --> 00:27:12,406

Fabiana Udenio: He did.

730

00:27:12,426 --> 00:27:13,709

Fabiana Udenio: You know, i better keep it.

731

00:27:13,850 --> 00:27:16,155

Fabiana Udenio: It's hard enough for me to know maybe I'll

732

00:27:16,196 --> 00:27:18,245

Fabiana Udenio: go there, maybe and maybe not.

733

00:27:18,265 --> 00:27:19,429

Fabiana Udenio: Maybe I'll get this, maybe not.

734

00:27:19,851 --> 00:27:22,782

Fabiana Udenio: That I could see that it was stressful for

735

00:27:22,862 --> 00:27:25,049

Fabiana Udenio: him to think of me, maybe and maybe not,

736

00:27:25,110 --> 00:27:27,689

Fabiana Udenio: and him being The actor's life isn't for

737

00:27:27,729 --> 00:27:28,110

Fabiana Udenio: everybody.

738

00:27:28,271 --> 00:27:31,069

Fabiana Udenio: Yes, So it's okay if I know that I'm going

739

00:27:31,089 --> 00:27:32,954

Fabiana Udenio: to do something and tell him, but not if I

740

00:27:33,315 --> 00:27:34,317

Fabiana Udenio: maybe will be doing this.

741

00:27:34,625 --> 00:27:36,691

Fabiana Udenio: Maybe I realized that that wasn't the right

742

00:27:36,972 --> 00:27:40,091

Fabiana Udenio: thing to go, and since this is such a big

743

00:27:40,172 --> 00:27:43,783

Fabiana Udenio: thing happening in my life, Well, did you

744

00:27:43,823 --> 00:27:44,465

Fabiana Udenio: score any points?

745

00:27:44,525 --> 00:27:46,031

Marc Preston: So I'm going to be acting with Arnold

746

00:27:46,091 --> 00:27:46,814

Marc Preston: Schwarzenegger.

747

00:27:47,046 --> 00:27:48,851

Marc Preston: Did you do that like land on him, with him

748

00:27:48,891 --> 00:27:49,112

Marc Preston: at all?

749

00:27:49,192 --> 00:27:51,708

Fabiana Udenio: Yes, And especially because of COVID, there

750

00:27:51,768 --> 00:27:54,516

Fabiana Udenio: wasn't a lot of interaction.

751

00:27:54,885 --> 00:27:58,127

Fabiana Udenio: People weren't allowed on the set, So it

752

00:27:58,187 --> 00:27:59,309

Fabiana Udenio: was very so.

753

00:27:59,430 --> 00:28:02,095

Fabiana Udenio: he didn't have a lot of interaction like he

754

00:28:02,115 --> 00:28:03,959

Fabiana Udenio: would have wanted to hang out on the set

755

00:28:05,287 --> 00:28:07,091

Fabiana Udenio: And I sort of missed that.

756

00:28:07,111 --> 00:28:08,675

Fabiana Udenio: that could have been great if he could have

757

00:28:08,695 --> 00:28:09,597

Fabiana Udenio: come more, you know.

758

00:28:10,426 --> 00:28:14,416

Fabiana Udenio: but both him and my mom who came to Toronto

759

00:28:14,456 --> 00:28:16,121

Fabiana Udenio: to kind of give me a hand with all of that.

760

00:28:17,163 --> 00:28:17,725

Marc Preston: Oh, that's wonderful.

761

00:28:18,126 --> 00:28:19,730

Marc Preston: Your mother can still come over and My

762

00:28:19,770 --> 00:28:21,534

Marc Preston: mother did She yeah.

763

00:28:21,555 --> 00:28:22,136

Marc Preston: That's wonderful.

764

00:28:22,745 --> 00:28:24,148

Fabiana Udenio: And she was very crucial for my being able

765

00:28:24,188 --> 00:28:26,314

Fabiana Udenio: to focus completely on the job.

766

00:28:26,815 --> 00:28:28,126

Marc Preston: Well, here's the thing I mean.

767

00:28:28,146 --> 00:28:30,212

Marc Preston: I have to ask because still, as I mentioned

768

00:28:30,252 --> 00:28:31,696

Marc Preston: before, i have not had lunch, so I'm just

769

00:28:31,845 --> 00:28:32,770

Marc Preston: deeply interested in food.

770

00:28:33,367 --> 00:28:34,452

Marc Preston: Now is your mother?

771

00:28:34,593 --> 00:28:36,823

Marc Preston: does she have the Italian mother cooking

772

00:28:36,883 --> 00:28:37,205

Marc Preston: skills?

773

00:28:37,285 --> 00:28:38,328

Fabiana Udenio: She's a great cook.

774

00:28:40,013 --> 00:28:40,394

Fabiana Udenio: I'm not.

775

00:28:41,005 --> 00:28:42,512

Fabiana Udenio: So Tali has a lot in common with me.

776

00:28:42,885 --> 00:28:44,174

Fabiana Udenio: The only thing you'll see throughout the

777

00:28:44,235 --> 00:28:44,476

Fabiana Udenio: episode.

778

00:28:44,497 --> 00:28:45,987

Fabiana Udenio: She's always like kind of cooking something

779

00:28:46,007 --> 00:28:50,188

Fabiana Udenio: great And that was a stretch, like luckily

780

00:28:50,269 --> 00:28:51,272

Fabiana Udenio: you only have to fake it.

781

00:28:51,793 --> 00:28:52,094

Fabiana Udenio: I'm not.

782

00:28:53,286 --> 00:28:55,673

Fabiana Udenio: When I cook, you know it tastes good.

783

00:28:56,665 --> 00:28:59,586

Fabiana Udenio: I cook for my son or not for my, but I

784

00:28:59,927 --> 00:29:00,831

Fabiana Udenio: don't enjoy it.

785

00:29:01,065 --> 00:29:03,210

Marc Preston: So the process, my mom and dad Really,

786

00:29:03,450 --> 00:29:04,813

Marc Preston: really Well, i think that's the thing.

787

00:29:04,853 --> 00:29:06,878

Marc Preston: Some people can get it done, but they don't

788

00:29:06,938 --> 00:29:07,178

Marc Preston: enjoy it.

789

00:29:07,305 --> 00:29:08,790

Marc Preston: For me, cooking is almost therapeutic.

790

00:29:08,850 --> 00:29:10,154

Marc Preston: It's relaxing, you know.

791

00:29:10,254 --> 00:29:11,357

Fabiana Udenio: I'm so strict, i don't care.

792

00:29:12,930 --> 00:29:14,438

Marc Preston: Whenever I used to watch Anthony Bourdain,

793

00:29:14,478 --> 00:29:15,825

Marc Preston: I used to love when he would go to Spain or

794

00:29:15,945 --> 00:29:17,629

Marc Preston: Italy, because I'd love watching the older

795

00:29:17,690 --> 00:29:20,296

Marc Preston: ladies cook, because they're just watching

796

00:29:20,785 --> 00:29:21,709

Marc Preston: an Italian mother cook.

797

00:29:21,729 --> 00:29:23,669

Marc Preston: To me It was just like I just get into it

798

00:29:23,709 --> 00:29:24,291

Marc Preston: for some reason.

799

00:29:24,311 --> 00:29:26,889

Marc Preston: Of course, Now I got to know what is your

800

00:29:26,969 --> 00:29:27,431

Marc Preston: favorite.

801

00:29:28,605 --> 00:29:31,353

Marc Preston: You know what is kind of a dish that your

802

00:29:31,413 --> 00:29:32,516

Marc Preston: mother makes, or something.

803

00:29:32,685 --> 00:29:34,431

Marc Preston: When you go back home you're like I need

804

00:29:34,451 --> 00:29:35,634

Marc Preston: this, This is something I need.

805

00:29:35,925 --> 00:29:36,749

Marc Preston: I need the real deal, authentic.

806

00:29:36,965 --> 00:29:40,158

Fabiana Udenio: She's always mad at me because I don't eat

807

00:29:40,580 --> 00:29:41,725

Fabiana Udenio: a lot of pasta, you know.

808

00:29:41,785 --> 00:29:43,852

Fabiana Udenio: But I've had the same weight all of my life.

809

00:29:44,565 --> 00:29:47,093

Fabiana Udenio: So she always tells me that I snack a lot

810

00:29:47,133 --> 00:29:48,476

Fabiana Udenio: and maybe I eat in the middle of the night.

811

00:29:48,565 --> 00:29:50,567

Fabiana Udenio: I'm kind of a messy eater, so she's always

812

00:29:50,628 --> 00:29:53,660

Fabiana Udenio: mad at me because I don't eat as much as

813

00:29:53,720 --> 00:29:55,146

Fabiana Udenio: any Italian daughter should eat.

814

00:29:55,206 --> 00:29:56,992

Fabiana Udenio: You know, like they would feed you all day

815

00:29:57,032 --> 00:29:57,273

Fabiana Udenio: long.

816

00:29:58,085 --> 00:29:58,989

Marc Preston: Her whole family like.

817

00:29:59,525 --> 00:30:01,631

Marc Preston: Tell her if she wants an additional adopted

818

00:30:01,712 --> 00:30:02,012

Marc Preston: son.

819

00:30:02,333 --> 00:30:02,815

Marc Preston: I'm totally.

820

00:30:03,466 --> 00:30:04,930

Marc Preston: I'll eat your portion of pasta.

821

00:30:05,010 --> 00:30:05,853

Marc Preston: That'd be totally fine.

822

00:30:05,933 --> 00:30:06,194

Fabiana Udenio: She's.

823

00:30:06,845 --> 00:30:07,508

Fabiana Udenio: What does she make?

824

00:30:07,528 --> 00:30:08,211

Fabiana Udenio: that's really good.

825

00:30:08,325 --> 00:30:10,691

Fabiana Udenio: She can make really good matriciana, you

826

00:30:10,711 --> 00:30:12,796

Fabiana Udenio: know, with the bread sauce and the chicken.

827

00:30:13,185 --> 00:30:16,731

Fabiana Udenio: She can really good And she's very good

828

00:30:16,871 --> 00:30:17,353

Fabiana Udenio: overall cook.

829

00:30:17,505 --> 00:30:19,909

Fabiana Udenio: She can make a good pasta leuangole, you

830

00:30:19,929 --> 00:30:20,750

Fabiana Udenio: know, leuangole pasta.

831

00:30:20,770 --> 00:30:21,832

Fabiana Udenio: She's really good.

832

00:30:22,012 --> 00:30:22,874

Marc Preston: I don't think I've ever had that.

833

00:30:22,894 --> 00:30:24,476

Fabiana Udenio: Yeah, with the clams, i'm sure you did.

834

00:30:24,737 --> 00:30:25,498

Marc Preston: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

835

00:30:25,518 --> 00:30:26,039

Marc Preston: Yeah, i've had.

836

00:30:26,845 --> 00:30:28,140

Marc Preston: See, i grew up at a time when they had the

837

00:30:28,166 --> 00:30:30,020

Marc Preston: American style of Italian, you know, where

838

00:30:30,020 --> 00:30:31,741

Marc Preston: you have a lot of red sauce on everything,

839

00:30:31,925 --> 00:30:33,989

Marc Preston: whereas the Italian Italian, the sauce is

840

00:30:34,029 --> 00:30:35,692

Marc Preston: there for a little bit of flavor, but the

841

00:30:35,772 --> 00:30:37,735

Marc Preston: pasta is kind of the main thing.

842

00:30:37,755 --> 00:30:38,677

Marc Preston: Yes, it's not the sauce.

843

00:30:38,717 --> 00:30:39,398

Marc Preston: No, not that.

844

00:30:40,145 --> 00:30:42,090

Fabiana Udenio: Not swimming and all of that with all the

845

00:30:42,130 --> 00:30:42,912

Fabiana Udenio: meatballs You can.

846

00:30:43,013 --> 00:30:43,855

Fabiana Udenio: Yeah, it's more like a.

847

00:30:44,745 --> 00:30:46,338

Fabiana Udenio: Most of the time it's like a ragu, you know,

848

00:30:46,379 --> 00:30:48,247

Fabiana Udenio: like small pieces, And you don't get the

849

00:30:48,327 --> 00:30:52,715

Fabiana Udenio: big meatballs and the huge plates and Yeah,

850

00:30:52,816 --> 00:30:53,337

Fabiana Udenio: all you can eat.

851

00:30:53,357 --> 00:30:55,606

Marc Preston: I'm with you, though, if I ate the amount

852

00:30:55,647 --> 00:30:57,209

Marc Preston: of bucatini and the pasta that I would like

853

00:30:57,229 --> 00:30:58,532

Marc Preston: to have weight would.

854

00:30:58,913 --> 00:30:59,574

Marc Preston: Oh, I love bucatini.

855

00:30:59,594 --> 00:31:00,596

Fabiana Udenio: My mom does those too.

856

00:31:00,796 --> 00:31:03,026

Marc Preston: Yes, yes, You know, i actually, when I made

857

00:31:03,066 --> 00:31:05,132

Marc Preston: the acacia pepe, i actually like to do it

858

00:31:05,152 --> 00:31:07,086

Marc Preston: with bucatini, i just like that I used to

859

00:31:07,146 --> 00:31:10,174

Marc Preston: live three doors down from an Italian

860

00:31:10,234 --> 00:31:12,829

Marc Preston: grocery And this husband and wife and

861

00:31:12,849 --> 00:31:15,666

Marc Preston: they've made I don't know if you, i don't

862

00:31:15,686 --> 00:31:17,210

Marc Preston: know if it's an American Italian thing or

863

00:31:17,250 --> 00:31:18,514

Marc Preston: Italian Italian, but it moves a lot of

864

00:31:18,554 --> 00:31:18,995

Marc Preston: sandwich.

865

00:31:19,706 --> 00:31:21,791

Marc Preston: It uses like chopped up olives and olive

866

00:31:21,891 --> 00:31:22,713

Marc Preston: oil as like a.

867

00:31:23,194 --> 00:31:25,449

Fabiana Udenio: It's a whole thing Was this in Dallas.

868

00:31:25,770 --> 00:31:26,271

Marc Preston: This is in.

869

00:31:26,552 --> 00:31:27,836

Marc Preston: Actually, this is in New Orleans.

870

00:31:28,106 --> 00:31:30,031

Marc Preston: In fact, when Anthony Bourdain came to New

871

00:31:30,091 --> 00:31:31,696

Marc Preston: Orleans it's a little grocery.

872

00:31:31,765 --> 00:31:33,171

Marc Preston: If anybody travels to New Orleans you've

873

00:31:33,191 --> 00:31:33,572

Marc Preston: got to come.

874

00:31:33,705 --> 00:31:35,271

Marc Preston: It's in an area called Old Meterie.

875

00:31:36,246 --> 00:31:36,627

Marc Preston: It's a.

876

00:31:36,727 --> 00:31:38,352

Marc Preston: It's a This beautiful big sandwich,

877

00:31:38,412 --> 00:31:42,244

Marc Preston: mortadella and all these meats and it's

878

00:31:42,464 --> 00:31:43,789

Marc Preston: totally not good for you, but it tastes

879

00:31:43,809 --> 00:31:44,171

Marc Preston: amazing.

880

00:31:44,865 --> 00:31:46,630

Marc Preston: But when Anthony Bourdain came into, came

881

00:31:46,671 --> 00:31:47,914

Marc Preston: to New Orleans, he went to this little

882

00:31:47,954 --> 00:31:49,788

Marc Preston: grocery three doors down from my house

883

00:31:50,109 --> 00:31:51,853

Marc Preston: where I went to go buy my olive oil and

884

00:31:51,893 --> 00:31:52,234

Marc Preston: everything.

885

00:31:53,485 --> 00:31:55,610

Marc Preston: In fact I used to grow all of my own herbs,

886

00:31:55,691 --> 00:31:58,787

Marc Preston: my basil and oregano, and the lady who

887

00:31:58,868 --> 00:31:59,470

Marc Preston: owned it couldn't.

888

00:31:59,725 --> 00:32:01,702

Marc Preston: She killed everything that she tried to

889

00:32:01,743 --> 00:32:01,944

Marc Preston: grow.

890

00:32:02,186 --> 00:32:02,828

Marc Preston: So I said tell you what.

891

00:32:02,848 --> 00:32:03,530

Marc Preston: I'll make you a trade.

892

00:32:03,551 --> 00:32:04,213

Marc Preston: I'll bring you over.

893

00:32:04,565 --> 00:32:07,326

Marc Preston: I bought up some basil for you And so we

894

00:32:07,346 --> 00:32:09,853

Marc Preston: had this Italian olive oil for basil trade

895

00:32:09,873 --> 00:32:11,116

Marc Preston: going on for a couple of years.

896

00:32:11,225 --> 00:32:13,111

Marc Preston: I'd bring her herbs and she'd give me olive

897

00:32:13,251 --> 00:32:13,472

Marc Preston: oil.

898

00:32:13,572 --> 00:32:17,269

Fabiana Udenio: So I just don't eat a lot of.

899

00:32:19,151 --> 00:32:23,177

Fabiana Udenio: I don't eat as much pasta as you would.

900

00:32:23,898 --> 00:32:25,380

Fabiana Udenio: I'm pretty disciplined with that.

901

00:32:26,546 --> 00:32:29,533

Fabiana Udenio: I mean mostly like So it's not as But

902

00:32:29,553 --> 00:32:30,194

Fabiana Udenio: Italian food.

903

00:32:30,314 --> 00:32:35,952

Fabiana Udenio: It's so good The ingredients the main

904

00:32:35,992 --> 00:32:38,016

Fabiana Udenio: ingredients are something that you can't

905

00:32:38,056 --> 00:32:39,619

Fabiana Udenio: find here And I think I can cook.

906

00:32:39,805 --> 00:32:41,328

Fabiana Udenio: You know I put myself down and I have a bad

907

00:32:41,368 --> 00:32:45,918

Fabiana Udenio: reputation, but if I do it it tastes good

908

00:32:46,405 --> 00:32:48,072

Fabiana Udenio: Because I've seen enough of it around me.

909

00:32:48,225 --> 00:32:52,175

Fabiana Udenio: My mom, her sister, my aunt makes things

910

00:32:52,255 --> 00:32:52,917

Fabiana Udenio: from scratch.

911

00:32:53,045 --> 00:32:55,995

Fabiana Udenio: I remember her making pasta from scratch.

912

00:32:56,045 --> 00:32:58,411

Fabiana Udenio: I mean really serious, like lasagna,

913

00:32:58,852 --> 00:33:01,357

Fabiana Udenio: cannelloni, the whole thing from scratch.

914

00:33:02,607 --> 00:33:04,831

Fabiana Udenio: These sweet, the frappe that you make for

915

00:33:04,851 --> 00:33:07,135

Fabiana Udenio: caramel, i mean she's cakes.

916

00:33:09,345 --> 00:33:09,908

Fabiana Udenio: So I've seen.

917

00:33:09,968 --> 00:33:12,432

Fabiana Udenio: I grew up seeing her So I can do it.

918

00:33:12,725 --> 00:33:13,467

Fabiana Udenio: I just never.

919

00:33:14,631 --> 00:33:16,416

Fabiana Udenio: I don't understand how it could be relaxing.

920

00:33:16,665 --> 00:33:18,069

Fabiana Udenio: You know, i worry about how it's going to

921

00:33:18,109 --> 00:33:20,656

Fabiana Udenio: taste and if people are going to like it.

922

00:33:21,967 --> 00:33:23,431

Marc Preston: Well, see, over here, everybody's going to

923

00:33:23,472 --> 00:33:24,876

Marc Preston: love it, but I think you think if this is

924

00:33:24,965 --> 00:33:26,570

Marc Preston: back home, then you're going to be graded

925

00:33:26,631 --> 00:33:27,594

Marc Preston: on your cooking, you know.

926

00:33:28,005 --> 00:33:29,975

Marc Preston: But when you came to America, what was your

927

00:33:30,016 --> 00:33:30,679

Marc Preston: first experience?

928

00:33:30,699 --> 00:33:32,387

Marc Preston: like going to an In-N-Out burger or

929

00:33:32,468 --> 00:33:34,013

Marc Preston: something really American.

930

00:33:34,205 --> 00:33:36,210

Marc Preston: What was that like for you when you had

931

00:33:36,230 --> 00:33:37,995

Marc Preston: your first literal and figurative taste of

932

00:33:38,035 --> 00:33:39,710

Marc Preston: American culture or whatever have?

933

00:33:39,730 --> 00:33:40,152

Fabiana Udenio: you.

934

00:33:40,165 --> 00:33:47,712

Fabiana Udenio: Well, New York is sort of cosmopolitan, The

935

00:33:47,772 --> 00:33:49,715

Fabiana Udenio: international having sushi for the first

936

00:33:49,776 --> 00:33:52,730

Fabiana Udenio: time in New York, I remember I never even

937

00:33:52,750 --> 00:33:52,891

Fabiana Udenio: know.

938

00:33:53,446 --> 00:33:55,339

Fabiana Udenio: And here was already popular.

939

00:33:57,367 --> 00:34:00,755

Fabiana Udenio: I remember the concept of all you can eat

940

00:34:01,657 --> 00:34:02,038

Fabiana Udenio: was.

941

00:34:02,907 --> 00:34:04,451

Marc Preston: That's a uniquely American thing.

942

00:34:04,511 --> 00:34:06,055

Marc Preston: Yes, it was weird.

943

00:34:06,845 --> 00:34:08,229

Fabiana Udenio: And so I thought and I you know, when you

944

00:34:08,249 --> 00:34:09,613

Fabiana Udenio: don't have a lot of it you think, oh, you

945

00:34:09,633 --> 00:34:09,894

Fabiana Udenio: can eat.

946

00:34:09,934 --> 00:34:12,071

Fabiana Udenio: You You're kind of like, well, i have to

947

00:34:12,171 --> 00:34:14,350

Fabiana Udenio: eat a lot, so I would like not eat, so I

948

00:34:14,390 --> 00:34:15,735

Fabiana Udenio: could have all you can eat.

949

00:34:15,805 --> 00:34:17,231

Fabiana Udenio: I could eat more and try everything.

950

00:34:17,365 --> 00:34:19,995

Fabiana Udenio: So trying all these things in a salad bar,

951

00:34:20,557 --> 00:34:22,264

Fabiana Udenio: or I remember getting the whole bunch of

952

00:34:22,304 --> 00:34:24,570

Fabiana Udenio: weight in New York doing that soap opera.

953

00:34:24,590 --> 00:34:26,293

Fabiana Udenio: That's true, i just remember.

954

00:34:26,373 --> 00:34:27,756

Marc Preston: But you had fun though, yes.

955

00:34:29,306 --> 00:34:33,877

Fabiana Udenio: I would go down to the salad bar that

956

00:34:33,918 --> 00:34:35,782

Fabiana Udenio: opened late at night and fill up the salad

957

00:34:35,802 --> 00:34:37,005

Fabiana Udenio: with all these things.

958

00:34:38,808 --> 00:34:40,512

Fabiana Udenio: And then, when I came to Los Angeles, what

959

00:34:40,532 --> 00:34:41,874

Fabiana Udenio: it was really fun were the Mexican

960

00:34:41,934 --> 00:34:43,658

Fabiana Udenio: restaurants That was.

961

00:34:44,445 --> 00:34:47,150

Marc Preston: Oh yeah, so you really, you decided to stay

962

00:34:47,190 --> 00:34:47,551

Marc Preston: in LA.

963

00:34:48,545 --> 00:34:51,258

Marc Preston: So do you enjoy the vibe of LA, or do you

964

00:34:51,318 --> 00:34:52,644

Marc Preston: find at some point in time maybe you'll

965

00:34:52,664 --> 00:34:54,229

Marc Preston: want to return to Italy, or maybe explore

966

00:34:54,269 --> 00:34:56,595

Marc Preston: other parts of the US, or do you really

967

00:34:56,656 --> 00:34:56,896

Marc Preston: like it?

968

00:34:57,426 --> 00:34:58,909

Marc Preston: I'm assuming, for as long as you've been

969

00:34:58,930 --> 00:34:59,852

Marc Preston: there, you must like it there.

970

00:35:00,574 --> 00:35:05,912

Fabiana Udenio: I do, yes, i did like the relaxed feeling

971

00:35:06,072 --> 00:35:08,536

Fabiana Udenio: of going out with your flip flops and

972

00:35:08,637 --> 00:35:10,099

Fabiana Udenio: whatever you went over, you would care.

973

00:35:10,325 --> 00:35:13,592

Fabiana Udenio: Italy is a little different or the colors

974

00:35:13,632 --> 00:35:14,334

Fabiana Udenio: don't match.

975

00:35:16,265 --> 00:35:19,854

Fabiana Udenio: I did like the professional quality of the

976

00:35:19,935 --> 00:35:20,295

Fabiana Udenio: business.

977

00:35:21,085 --> 00:35:22,410

Fabiana Udenio: I liked the.

978

00:35:23,765 --> 00:35:25,426

Fabiana Udenio: It's an unpredictable business, but when I

979

00:35:25,486 --> 00:35:28,332

Fabiana Udenio: was growing up in Italy, there was a lot of

980

00:35:28,393 --> 00:35:31,326

Fabiana Udenio: nepotism and a lot of oh my God, talk about

981

00:35:31,346 --> 00:35:31,707

Fabiana Udenio: me too.

982

00:35:32,405 --> 00:35:35,778

Fabiana Udenio: You multiply that You, you, you

983

00:35:36,038 --> 00:35:37,321

Fabiana Udenio: exponentially in Italy.

984

00:35:37,782 --> 00:35:40,407

Fabiana Udenio: So I didn't like they just didn't make any.

985

00:35:40,488 --> 00:35:42,347

Fabiana Udenio: Most of the times Auditions didn't matter

986

00:35:42,367 --> 00:35:44,058

Fabiana Udenio: and it's who you know, how do you know them,

987

00:35:44,138 --> 00:35:45,463

Fabiana Udenio: and and all of that.

988

00:35:45,684 --> 00:35:48,815

Fabiana Udenio: It really didn't fly well for me here.

989

00:35:49,256 --> 00:35:51,684

Fabiana Udenio: I was finding that I was more appreciated

990

00:35:51,764 --> 00:35:55,104

Fabiana Udenio: and respected, although it wasn't my life

991

00:35:55,204 --> 00:35:55,887

Fabiana Udenio: and funny enough.

992

00:35:55,927 --> 00:35:57,473

Fabiana Udenio: So every time I would go I would work a

993

00:35:57,514 --> 00:36:00,203

Fabiana Udenio: little bit But but it didn't really click.

994

00:36:00,263 --> 00:36:01,607

Fabiana Udenio: Or I would have some great audition and

995

00:36:01,748 --> 00:36:03,173

Fabiana Udenio: somebody else would get it because there

996

00:36:03,193 --> 00:36:06,160

Fabiana Udenio: were this or that And so that kind of stung

997

00:36:06,220 --> 00:36:08,485

Fabiana Udenio: me and here it was more predictable.

998

00:36:08,505 --> 00:36:09,848

Fabiana Udenio: It was more competitive and more

999

00:36:09,868 --> 00:36:10,309

Fabiana Udenio: predictable.

Speaker:

00:36:10,335 --> 00:36:13,865

Fabiana Udenio: So I liked the business aspect and the fact

Speaker:

00:36:13,905 --> 00:36:19,982

Fabiana Udenio: that I Was respected for What it was your

Speaker:

00:36:20,023 --> 00:36:21,929

Fabiana Udenio: audition for things, and over there you

Speaker:

00:36:21,989 --> 00:36:22,230

Fabiana Udenio: don't.

Speaker:

00:36:22,450 --> 00:36:23,835

Fabiana Udenio: Oh, it did, it's different now.

Speaker:

00:36:24,116 --> 00:36:33,359

Marc Preston: Well, Well, you see, here it's, you know

Speaker:

00:36:34,061 --> 00:36:34,161

Marc Preston: it's.

Speaker:

00:36:34,422 --> 00:36:35,825

Marc Preston: It's really interesting the way things have

Speaker:

00:36:35,865 --> 00:36:38,256

Marc Preston: evolved, because when you're young You're

Speaker:

00:36:38,296 --> 00:36:40,661

Marc Preston: teens or early 20s It was different than

Speaker:

00:36:40,701 --> 00:36:40,962

Marc Preston: now.

Speaker:

00:36:41,062 --> 00:36:43,908

Marc Preston: If you have two actors of equal talent but

Speaker:

00:36:44,028 --> 00:36:47,491

Marc Preston: one has 20,000 people follow on Instagram,

Speaker:

00:36:47,511 --> 00:36:50,279

Marc Preston: another one has About 10 million, that's

Speaker:

00:36:50,299 --> 00:36:51,081

Marc Preston: gonna factor in.

Speaker:

00:36:51,141 --> 00:36:52,604

Marc Preston: It's a whole different world than it used

Speaker:

00:36:52,624 --> 00:36:54,488

Marc Preston: to be and I can't imagine having to be an

Speaker:

00:36:54,568 --> 00:36:57,079

Marc Preston: actor and working nonstop and keeping up

Speaker:

00:36:57,099 --> 00:36:58,685

Marc Preston: with social media and all that is.

Speaker:

00:37:03,677 --> 00:37:05,524

Fabiana Udenio: It's so high coffee just thinking about it

Speaker:

00:37:10,155 --> 00:37:10,657

Fabiana Udenio: Mentioning.

Speaker:

00:37:11,460 --> 00:37:13,869

Fabiana Udenio: And then I try hard and then I see someone

Speaker:

00:37:13,889 --> 00:37:16,557

Fabiana Udenio: else doing something so creative And I go

Speaker:

00:37:16,597 --> 00:37:17,399

Fabiana Udenio: how do you do that?

Speaker:

00:37:17,460 --> 00:37:18,322

Fabiana Udenio: and then I do it wrong.

Speaker:

00:37:18,342 --> 00:37:22,477

Fabiana Udenio: I mean, it's really hard and I Enjoy it.

Speaker:

00:37:22,578 --> 00:37:25,325

Fabiana Udenio: It is addictive and you've got to learn.

Speaker:

00:37:25,345 --> 00:37:26,207

Fabiana Udenio: You have to be open.

Speaker:

00:37:26,367 --> 00:37:29,320

Fabiana Udenio: But There is something sort of

Speaker:

00:37:29,440 --> 00:37:32,086

Fabiana Udenio: contradictory to being an actor and getting

Speaker:

00:37:32,206 --> 00:37:36,462

Fabiana Udenio: out of yourself, to having to talk about

Speaker:

00:37:36,482 --> 00:37:37,946

Fabiana Udenio: what you have for breakfast and just

Speaker:

00:37:38,026 --> 00:37:40,855

Fabiana Udenio: self-indulging, just everything that to me.

Speaker:

00:37:41,359 --> 00:37:43,055

Fabiana Udenio: But I'd rather not, i'd rather you know.

Speaker:

00:37:43,055 --> 00:37:45,384

Marc Preston: So yeah, there's that, that the mystique of

Speaker:

00:37:45,459 --> 00:37:46,276

Marc Preston: the performer.

Speaker:

00:37:46,351 --> 00:37:48,207

Marc Preston: That I think makes like you look at that a

Speaker:

00:37:48,281 --> 00:37:50,721

Marc Preston: denier or Pacino or those guys They're.

Speaker:

00:37:50,841 --> 00:37:51,523

Marc Preston: You don't see them on.

Speaker:

00:37:51,823 --> 00:37:53,367

Marc Preston: I don't assume they're on social media a

Speaker:

00:37:53,407 --> 00:37:56,021

Marc Preston: lot, but it's.

Speaker:

00:37:56,121 --> 00:37:57,755

Marc Preston: It's kind of like something we want.

Speaker:

00:37:57,795 --> 00:37:59,324

Marc Preston: I mean, we want a little bit more of the

Speaker:

00:37:59,384 --> 00:38:01,335

Marc Preston: person than just the two hours in the film

Speaker:

00:38:01,756 --> 00:38:03,723

Marc Preston: But at the same time we still like that

Speaker:

00:38:03,743 --> 00:38:04,486

Marc Preston: mystique being there.

Speaker:

00:38:04,526 --> 00:38:05,831

Fabiana Udenio: I think maybe that's part of our

Speaker:

00:38:05,871 --> 00:38:08,378

Fabiana Udenio: personalities I'm not sure, and it's not

Speaker:

00:38:08,438 --> 00:38:10,082

Fabiana Udenio: something that it's, it's not that much

Speaker:

00:38:10,162 --> 00:38:10,262

Fabiana Udenio: It's.

Speaker:

00:38:10,443 --> 00:38:12,948

Fabiana Udenio: it's more work than actually acting to have

Speaker:

00:38:13,008 --> 00:38:16,323

Fabiana Udenio: to Think about that's actually tedious for

Speaker:

00:38:16,363 --> 00:38:19,593

Fabiana Udenio: me to have to post and tag and repost, and

Speaker:

00:38:19,633 --> 00:38:22,503

Fabiana Udenio: it's, it's fun And and so you're making me

Speaker:

00:38:22,543 --> 00:38:24,189

Fabiana Udenio: feel so good right now because I have to do

Speaker:

00:38:24,209 --> 00:38:25,494

Fabiana Udenio: that with with this show and the other

Speaker:

00:38:25,694 --> 00:38:26,318

Fabiana Udenio: things I do.

Speaker:

00:38:26,399 --> 00:38:26,801

Marc Preston: I have to do.

Speaker:

00:38:26,862 --> 00:38:27,788

Marc Preston: I'm like, oh my god, I just don't want to

Speaker:

00:38:27,808 --> 00:38:28,815

Marc Preston: do what do I say?

Speaker:

00:38:29,075 --> 00:38:29,757

Marc Preston: I don't know I do.

Speaker:

00:38:29,777 --> 00:38:30,760

Marc Preston: What picture do I post?

Speaker:

00:38:30,820 --> 00:38:33,025

Marc Preston: I mean, i you know, in my dog, my 17 year

Speaker:

00:38:33,065 --> 00:38:34,168

Marc Preston: old, with the interesting thing is she

Speaker:

00:38:34,215 --> 00:38:35,298

Marc Preston: Doesn't want me taking her picture or

Speaker:

00:38:35,359 --> 00:38:36,302

Marc Preston: posting it anywhere.

Speaker:

00:38:36,382 --> 00:38:37,646

Marc Preston: She only looks, she doesn't post.

Speaker:

00:38:38,036 --> 00:38:39,579

Marc Preston: She's the anti-teenager in that way.

Speaker:

00:38:39,599 --> 00:38:41,784

Marc Preston: I was thinking the anti-influencer I want

Speaker:

00:38:41,824 --> 00:38:45,218

Marc Preston: to be an anti-influencer, which would make

Speaker:

00:38:45,278 --> 00:38:47,445

Marc Preston: you in a way, ironically, an influencer.

Speaker:

00:38:51,458 --> 00:38:53,954

Marc Preston: But one thing I'm curious about with foobar

Speaker:

00:38:53,974 --> 00:38:56,442

Marc Preston: now I want to know how that project came to

Speaker:

00:38:56,502 --> 00:38:57,806

Marc Preston: you, or did you audition for it?

Speaker:

00:38:57,835 --> 00:38:58,338

Marc Preston: Did somebody?

Speaker:

00:38:58,378 --> 00:38:59,625

Marc Preston: does somebody reach out to you say, hey, we

Speaker:

00:38:59,645 --> 00:38:59,886

Marc Preston: have this.

Speaker:

00:39:00,148 --> 00:39:01,455

Marc Preston: I think you're right for this thing.

Speaker:

00:39:01,636 --> 00:39:02,739

Marc Preston: How did that come together for you?

Speaker:

00:39:02,799 --> 00:39:06,998

Fabiana Udenio: It was an audition and it was Called at the

Speaker:

00:39:07,038 --> 00:39:08,542

Fabiana Udenio: time the untitled honor Schwarzman a

Speaker:

00:39:08,562 --> 00:39:13,918

Fabiana Udenio: project, and I was immediately Curious and

Speaker:

00:39:13,998 --> 00:39:14,761

Fabiana Udenio: attracted to it.

Speaker:

00:39:14,822 --> 00:39:18,540

Fabiana Udenio: And then There were two long scenes that I

Speaker:

00:39:18,580 --> 00:39:20,463

Fabiana Udenio: had to prepare for the audition and it was

Speaker:

00:39:20,523 --> 00:39:23,068

Fabiana Udenio: a self tape because it's the age of COVID

Speaker:

00:39:23,148 --> 00:39:25,439

Fabiana Udenio: and that's When it was going on.

Speaker:

00:39:25,459 --> 00:39:28,289

Fabiana Udenio: You know you don't need anybody and so

Speaker:

00:39:28,309 --> 00:39:28,790

Fabiana Udenio: would you.

Speaker:

00:39:28,811 --> 00:39:30,095

Marc Preston: You know an LA and LA.

Speaker:

00:39:30,255 --> 00:39:31,681

Marc Preston: That's got to be nice because you don't

Speaker:

00:39:31,701 --> 00:39:32,805

Marc Preston: have to go through driving.

Speaker:

00:39:33,066 --> 00:39:34,713

Marc Preston: And then you got to make sure that

Speaker:

00:39:34,773 --> 00:39:36,198

Marc Preston: everything's shot Right with the lighting.

Speaker:

00:39:36,218 --> 00:39:36,921

Marc Preston: You want to look at it?

Speaker:

00:39:37,062 --> 00:39:37,484

Marc Preston: look nice.

Speaker:

00:39:38,797 --> 00:39:40,363

Marc Preston: Do you like this self-tape thing or do you

Speaker:

00:39:40,443 --> 00:39:41,407

Marc Preston: do prefer to be in the room?

Speaker:

00:39:41,588 --> 00:39:42,210

Fabiana Udenio: I didn't.

Speaker:

00:39:42,351 --> 00:39:43,315

Fabiana Udenio: I'm getting used to that too.

Speaker:

00:39:43,455 --> 00:39:44,297

Fabiana Udenio: I didn't it.

Speaker:

00:39:44,798 --> 00:39:47,124

Fabiana Udenio: It's like acting in a vacuum a little bit.

Speaker:

00:39:47,204 --> 00:39:48,608

Fabiana Udenio: I, you know it's like, you don't you know

Speaker:

00:39:48,648 --> 00:39:48,788

Fabiana Udenio: like.

Speaker:

00:39:49,436 --> 00:39:51,300

Fabiana Udenio: But there are some good things too, you

Speaker:

00:39:51,320 --> 00:39:51,460

Fabiana Udenio: know.

Speaker:

00:39:51,501 --> 00:39:52,282

Fabiana Udenio: You get to see what you.

Speaker:

00:39:52,403 --> 00:39:54,547

Fabiana Udenio: I used to obsess about what I did in the

Speaker:

00:39:54,608 --> 00:39:54,928

Fabiana Udenio: audition.

Speaker:

00:39:55,015 --> 00:39:55,859

Fabiana Udenio: How did I sound?

Speaker:

00:39:56,496 --> 00:39:57,478

Fabiana Udenio: What choices did I make?

Speaker:

00:39:57,519 --> 00:39:59,063

Fabiana Udenio: did I do what I thought I did?

Speaker:

00:39:59,123 --> 00:40:00,446

Fabiana Udenio: and then you forget because you're in the

Speaker:

00:40:00,486 --> 00:40:02,343

Fabiana Udenio: moment And now I know what I do.

Speaker:

00:40:02,866 --> 00:40:06,016

Fabiana Udenio: So in a way, it's a lot easier to I liked

Speaker:

00:40:06,096 --> 00:40:06,177

Fabiana Udenio: it.

Speaker:

00:40:06,237 --> 00:40:07,900

Fabiana Udenio: If they didn't get it, if they didn't

Speaker:

00:40:08,001 --> 00:40:09,484

Fabiana Udenio: choose me, you know it's their loss,

Speaker:

00:40:09,524 --> 00:40:11,147

Fabiana Udenio: because I like what I did or I could do

Speaker:

00:40:11,187 --> 00:40:11,668

Fabiana Udenio: better next.

Speaker:

00:40:12,798 --> 00:40:15,005

Fabiana Udenio: So it's, it's a little bit more control,

Speaker:

00:40:16,537 --> 00:40:21,482

Fabiana Udenio: but I miss The in-person meetings.

Speaker:

00:40:21,582 --> 00:40:23,911

Fabiana Udenio: But so this the way football came about was

Speaker:

00:40:24,072 --> 00:40:27,281

Fabiana Udenio: a self tape, and and they gave us, they

Speaker:

00:40:27,301 --> 00:40:29,526

Fabiana Udenio: gave me some time to prepare, which was

Speaker:

00:40:29,606 --> 00:40:34,219

Fabiana Udenio: nice, and I immediately liked the character

Speaker:

00:40:34,299 --> 00:40:36,524

Fabiana Udenio: because it had a lot in common with some of

Speaker:

00:40:36,584 --> 00:40:39,999

Fabiana Udenio: that of who I am, unlike many other

Speaker:

00:40:40,019 --> 00:40:41,465

Fabiana Udenio: characters that I've done in the past

Speaker:

00:40:42,495 --> 00:40:44,883

Fabiana Udenio: romantic side, her vulnerability in

Speaker:

00:40:44,923 --> 00:40:47,780

Fabiana Udenio: strength, and The fact that she puts family

Speaker:

00:40:47,840 --> 00:40:55,297

Fabiana Udenio: first, the fact that She, she's passionate

Speaker:

00:40:55,517 --> 00:40:58,446

Fabiana Udenio: and unpredictable many things that I felt

Speaker:

00:40:58,486 --> 00:41:01,621

Fabiana Udenio: like They were, that I could draw from my

Speaker:

00:41:01,681 --> 00:41:03,226

Fabiana Udenio: own personal life, so that was nice.

Speaker:

00:41:03,816 --> 00:41:05,181

Marc Preston: Well, like I said, i've only seen the first

Speaker:

00:41:05,261 --> 00:41:06,766

Marc Preston: episode, but it seems like this is somebody,

Speaker:

00:41:06,807 --> 00:41:08,372

Marc Preston: a character, who really is holding their

Speaker:

00:41:08,492 --> 00:41:09,275

Marc Preston: own with short snagger.

Speaker:

00:41:09,455 --> 00:41:12,463

Marc Preston: She's actually in some way has, as my

Speaker:

00:41:12,483 --> 00:41:14,347

Marc Preston: people say, chutzpah, yeah, no she's, you

Speaker:

00:41:14,408 --> 00:41:14,528

Marc Preston: know.

Speaker:

00:41:15,636 --> 00:41:17,022

Marc Preston: Because the like again.

Speaker:

00:41:17,062 --> 00:41:18,107

Marc Preston: I've only seen the first episode.

Speaker:

00:41:18,127 --> 00:41:19,613

Marc Preston: But you're, you're divorced or you're no

Speaker:

00:41:19,634 --> 00:41:21,178

Marc Preston: longer together, but you're still sort of

Speaker:

00:41:21,258 --> 00:41:21,558

Marc Preston: in a right.

Speaker:

00:41:21,579 --> 00:41:22,901

Marc Preston: You know it's kind of.

Speaker:

00:41:23,282 --> 00:41:24,726

Marc Preston: In the first episode It's not totally clear

Speaker:

00:41:24,766 --> 00:41:26,229

Marc Preston: on what this relationship is.

Speaker:

00:41:27,736 --> 00:41:32,221

Fabiana Udenio: Yes, you're so Insightful by getting all of

Speaker:

00:41:32,241 --> 00:41:33,386

Fabiana Udenio: that just from the first episode.

Speaker:

00:41:33,747 --> 00:41:35,534

Fabiana Udenio: It is true, this is the guy that wants her

Speaker:

00:41:35,555 --> 00:41:35,635

Fabiana Udenio: back.

Speaker:

00:41:35,835 --> 00:41:38,522

Fabiana Udenio: So he's always coming into my home He never

Speaker:

00:41:38,562 --> 00:41:40,527

Fabiana Udenio: knocking, you know like always there first.

Speaker:

00:41:40,788 --> 00:41:42,492

Fabiana Udenio: And then there's still this great

Speaker:

00:41:42,512 --> 00:41:43,555

Fabiana Udenio: connection that they had.

Speaker:

00:41:43,655 --> 00:41:45,709

Fabiana Udenio: They share this amazing love.

Speaker:

00:41:45,729 --> 00:41:49,140

Fabiana Udenio: They really truly Had it, but he's

Speaker:

00:41:49,300 --> 00:41:50,603

Fabiana Udenio: disappointed her so many times.

Speaker:

00:41:50,663 --> 00:41:52,867

Fabiana Udenio: She's detached now and say, okay, this guy

Speaker:

00:41:52,927 --> 00:41:57,381

Fabiana Udenio: had a lovable, irresistible but unreliable,

Speaker:

00:41:57,461 --> 00:41:58,344

Fabiana Udenio: and she's moved on.

Speaker:

00:42:00,796 --> 00:42:06,980

Fabiana Udenio: So part of the challenge was Being that

Speaker:

00:42:07,635 --> 00:42:10,008

Fabiana Udenio: Comfortable and around Arnold without

Speaker:

00:42:10,069 --> 00:42:13,383

Fabiana Udenio: having met him before, because, again, he's

Speaker:

00:42:13,403 --> 00:42:14,728

Fabiana Udenio: definitely got a presence about him.

Speaker:

00:42:14,748 --> 00:42:16,334

Marc Preston: I remember I did a press junket for true

Speaker:

00:42:16,354 --> 00:42:16,434

Marc Preston: lies.

Speaker:

00:42:18,062 --> 00:42:19,288

Marc Preston: We were at the Four Seasons, beverly Hills

Speaker:

00:42:19,308 --> 00:42:20,474

Marc Preston: and I walked outside after the junket.

Speaker:

00:42:21,863 --> 00:42:22,668

Marc Preston: I was gonna go get something.

Speaker:

00:42:22,688 --> 00:42:23,695

Marc Preston: He probably canter his deli and I see his,

Speaker:

00:42:24,916 --> 00:42:25,599

Marc Preston: his, his, his.

Speaker:

00:42:25,699 --> 00:42:27,566

Marc Preston: This is 1994.

Speaker:

00:42:27,586 --> 00:42:28,891

Marc Preston: He has a Humvee outside.

Speaker:

00:42:28,912 --> 00:42:29,815

Marc Preston: Personalized license plate says terminator.

Speaker:

00:42:31,520 --> 00:42:33,687

Marc Preston: I'm like this guy is not bashful whatsoever,

Speaker:

00:42:33,728 --> 00:42:35,323

Marc Preston: in the slightest But but it is a different

Speaker:

00:42:35,343 --> 00:42:36,129

Marc Preston: character for him.

Speaker:

00:42:38,882 --> 00:42:39,926

Marc Preston: You know, it's a, it's a different side of

Speaker:

00:42:39,946 --> 00:42:40,006

Marc Preston: him.

Speaker:

00:42:40,046 --> 00:42:41,230

Marc Preston: It's a different side, maybe from what

Speaker:

00:42:41,251 --> 00:42:42,334

Marc Preston: we're traditionally used to sing from you

Speaker:

00:42:42,354 --> 00:42:46,127

Marc Preston: as well, and I think that's kind of what

Speaker:

00:42:46,167 --> 00:42:46,769

Marc Preston: makes it fun.

Speaker:

00:42:46,809 --> 00:42:47,411

Marc Preston: It's a little bit different.

Speaker:

00:42:47,431 --> 00:42:48,274

Marc Preston: and but I am curious, for if we were to hit

Speaker:

00:42:48,294 --> 00:42:52,782

Marc Preston: rewind and compare Your early career to now,

Speaker:

00:42:52,902 --> 00:42:54,124

Marc Preston: are you having just as much fun?

Speaker:

00:42:54,464 --> 00:42:56,648

Marc Preston: Do you like kind of turning the corner and

Speaker:

00:42:56,688 --> 00:42:58,813

Marc Preston: now playing the mother, the relationship

Speaker:

00:42:58,853 --> 00:43:03,407

Marc Preston: between empty nest, you know, is it fun for

Speaker:

00:43:03,427 --> 00:43:03,547

Marc Preston: you?

Speaker:

00:43:03,587 --> 00:43:04,009

Marc Preston: Is it a different?

Speaker:

00:43:04,029 --> 00:43:04,430

Fabiana Udenio: challenge.

Speaker:

00:43:04,671 --> 00:43:05,615

Marc Preston: What's this like for you now?

Speaker:

00:43:05,695 --> 00:43:08,456

Fabiana Udenio: It was great And getting this her role,

Speaker:

00:43:08,677 --> 00:43:12,032

Fabiana Udenio: you'll see it grows a lot Her character.

Speaker:

00:43:12,072 --> 00:43:15,060

Fabiana Udenio: You get to see different sides and of her

Speaker:

00:43:15,100 --> 00:43:16,694

Fabiana Udenio: personality and a little bit of an

Speaker:

00:43:16,754 --> 00:43:22,082

Fabiana Udenio: emotional roller coaster And it really is a

Speaker:

00:43:22,122 --> 00:43:24,030

Fabiana Udenio: gift to get a role like this at this time.

Speaker:

00:43:24,130 --> 00:43:25,695

Fabiana Udenio: And yes, of course you.

Speaker:

00:43:26,197 --> 00:43:28,512

Fabiana Udenio: Part of the thing she goes through is

Speaker:

00:43:28,893 --> 00:43:31,620

Fabiana Udenio: seeing her daughter make her own the same

Speaker:

00:43:31,660 --> 00:43:36,482

Fabiana Udenio: mistakes and repeat, sort of recreate, what

Speaker:

00:43:36,502 --> 00:43:38,237

Fabiana Udenio: has happened to her and her relationship,

Speaker:

00:43:39,022 --> 00:43:40,210

Fabiana Udenio: neglecting her relationship.

Speaker:

00:43:40,351 --> 00:43:44,387

Fabiana Udenio: So sometimes you try to have your kids not

Speaker:

00:43:44,447 --> 00:43:46,073

Fabiana Udenio: make the same mistakes as you've done, but

Speaker:

00:43:46,114 --> 00:43:46,957

Fabiana Udenio: you don't succeed.

Speaker:

00:43:47,231 --> 00:43:48,717

Marc Preston: You try to lead by example and you go.

Speaker:

00:43:48,791 --> 00:43:50,110

Marc Preston: I haven't really figured this one out yet,

Speaker:

00:43:50,250 --> 00:43:51,013

Marc Preston: so you know it's like.

Speaker:

00:43:52,036 --> 00:43:53,500

Marc Preston: you know you learn as you go.

Speaker:

00:43:53,752 --> 00:43:55,185

Marc Preston: It's a really interesting concept.

Speaker:

00:43:55,265 --> 00:43:56,557

Marc Preston: It's different And I enjoyed it.

Speaker:

00:43:56,577 --> 00:43:57,626

Marc Preston: my daughter enjoyed it, whether she'll

Speaker:

00:43:57,666 --> 00:43:58,110

Marc Preston: admit it or not.

Speaker:

00:43:58,272 --> 00:43:59,671

Marc Preston: She kept looking up from her phone, so I

Speaker:

00:43:59,691 --> 00:44:01,177

Marc Preston: know that's how she liked it, you know.

Speaker:

00:44:02,550 --> 00:44:04,436

Marc Preston: But before we get going I always like to

Speaker:

00:44:04,456 --> 00:44:06,711

Marc Preston: kind of touch on my what I call my seven

Speaker:

00:44:06,771 --> 00:44:07,253

Marc Preston: questions.

Speaker:

00:44:07,313 --> 00:44:09,800

Marc Preston: just a little additional get to know, just

Speaker:

00:44:09,820 --> 00:44:11,116

Marc Preston: a little fun, and we kind of already

Speaker:

00:44:11,157 --> 00:44:12,630

Marc Preston: touched on the first question a little bit.

Speaker:

00:44:12,770 --> 00:44:14,376

Marc Preston: but hey, i still love talking food.

Speaker:

00:44:15,091 --> 00:44:17,219

Marc Preston: What is your favorite comfort food?

Speaker:

00:44:17,391 --> 00:44:19,378

Marc Preston: Something that you know at the end of the

Speaker:

00:44:19,418 --> 00:44:21,016

Marc Preston: day, just like I want to sit down, glass

Speaker:

00:44:21,077 --> 00:44:22,789

Marc Preston: wine, eat this, something that just kind of

Speaker:

00:44:22,889 --> 00:44:24,630

Marc Preston: make you feel better when you have one, and

Speaker:

00:44:24,670 --> 00:44:26,115

Marc Preston: then I cannot resist cheese.

Speaker:

00:44:27,399 --> 00:44:27,800

Fabiana Udenio: I love cheese.

Speaker:

00:44:28,391 --> 00:44:29,756

Marc Preston: Well, i have to ask what kind of cheese

Speaker:

00:44:29,777 --> 00:44:29,997

Marc Preston: there is.

Speaker:

00:44:30,010 --> 00:44:31,837

Marc Preston: Is it just you know any kind of cheese, or

Speaker:

00:44:31,857 --> 00:44:32,539

Marc Preston: do you have specific?

Speaker:

00:44:33,611 --> 00:44:34,475

Fabiana Udenio: Any kind of cheese.

Speaker:

00:44:34,515 --> 00:44:36,223

Fabiana Udenio: you know, like I try to avoid bread, but

Speaker:

00:44:36,303 --> 00:44:39,596

Fabiana Udenio: it's mostly harder, Cheese is like I like

Speaker:

00:44:39,636 --> 00:44:43,515

Fabiana Udenio: Parmesan cheese or like Swiss.

Speaker:

00:44:43,736 --> 00:44:45,125

Marc Preston: I like a Pecorino myself.

Speaker:

00:44:45,165 --> 00:44:45,910

Marc Preston: That's my favorite.

Speaker:

00:44:46,271 --> 00:44:47,877

Fabiana Udenio: I go to a town by itself, not by itself.

Speaker:

00:44:48,610 --> 00:44:50,417

Marc Preston: I like Pecorino in the way people like to

Speaker:

00:44:50,497 --> 00:44:51,039

Marc Preston: use Parmesan.

Speaker:

00:44:51,110 --> 00:44:52,516

Fabiana Udenio: I think it adds a little bit more flavor.

Speaker:

00:44:53,270 --> 00:44:55,844

Marc Preston: But, but cheese and wine and crackers, you

Speaker:

00:44:55,864 --> 00:44:57,592

Marc Preston: know you know it's funny, my children

Speaker:

00:44:57,672 --> 00:45:01,341

Marc Preston: actually enjoy the stinky, funky semi soft

Speaker:

00:45:01,361 --> 00:45:01,582

Marc Preston: cheese.

Speaker:

00:45:02,311 --> 00:45:03,696

Marc Preston: Oh yeah, the ones that really smell, but

Speaker:

00:45:03,716 --> 00:45:04,559

Marc Preston: they taste really good.

Speaker:

00:45:05,850 --> 00:45:06,834

Marc Preston: And you know, and it's been sitting in your

Speaker:

00:45:06,894 --> 00:45:07,878

Marc Preston: refrigerator too long.

Speaker:

00:45:08,331 --> 00:45:09,418

Marc Preston: But yeah, because it is.

Speaker:

00:45:09,720 --> 00:45:11,030

Marc Preston: but I'm a big cheese fan.

Speaker:

00:45:11,170 --> 00:45:12,795

Marc Preston: All is the only thing, probably, that would

Speaker:

00:45:12,835 --> 00:45:14,641

Marc Preston: keep me from being vegan, as I love cheese.

Speaker:

00:45:15,410 --> 00:45:17,256

Marc Preston: Now, if you were to sit down for three

Speaker:

00:45:17,296 --> 00:45:19,912

Marc Preston: people, living or not, just have a cup of

Speaker:

00:45:19,953 --> 00:45:22,091

Marc Preston: coffee or talking for a few hours, it's you

Speaker:

00:45:22,152 --> 00:45:22,914

Marc Preston: and three people.

Speaker:

00:45:23,356 --> 00:45:24,480

Marc Preston: Who would those three people be?

Speaker:

00:45:24,530 --> 00:45:26,558

Marc Preston: Who would you really enjoy talking story

Speaker:

00:45:26,598 --> 00:45:26,779

Marc Preston: with?

Speaker:

00:45:27,370 --> 00:45:28,715

Fabiana Udenio: Three people, living or not?

Speaker:

00:45:29,952 --> 00:45:30,962

Marc Preston: Yeah, exactly Yeah.

Speaker:

00:45:31,931 --> 00:45:33,798

Fabiana Udenio: Wow, I would like maybe Shakespeare,

Speaker:

00:45:38,710 --> 00:45:45,313

Fabiana Udenio: Picasso And Oh no wait Leonardo da Vinci.

Speaker:

00:45:45,333 --> 00:45:47,600

Fabiana Udenio: Oh, of course, Yeah.

Speaker:

00:45:47,710 --> 00:45:48,835

Marc Preston: Actually, I talked to somebody yesterday.

Speaker:

00:45:48,855 --> 00:45:50,252

Marc Preston: I said the same thing Because what was Da

Speaker:

00:45:50,293 --> 00:45:51,356

Marc Preston: Vinci not into?

Speaker:

00:45:51,417 --> 00:45:52,159

Marc Preston: He was a genius.

Speaker:

00:45:52,290 --> 00:45:53,655

Marc Preston: Da Vinci seems like it'd be a wonderful

Speaker:

00:45:53,696 --> 00:45:54,318

Marc Preston: conversation.

Speaker:

00:45:55,550 --> 00:45:59,059

Fabiana Udenio: I want to think of a woman and it's so sad

Speaker:

00:45:59,099 --> 00:46:00,571

Fabiana Udenio: that I can be a woman with my son When I

Speaker:

00:46:00,671 --> 00:46:04,532

Fabiana Udenio: think of a woman and Maire Street.

Speaker:

00:46:04,954 --> 00:46:07,755

Marc Preston: Oh yeah, without a doubt, she, she is such

Speaker:

00:46:07,775 --> 00:46:09,835

Marc Preston: a chameleon She could pretty much, you know,

Speaker:

00:46:10,537 --> 00:46:11,921

Marc Preston: do almost anything, it seems like.

Speaker:

00:46:12,990 --> 00:46:14,275

Marc Preston: But yeah, that that would be a wonderful

Speaker:

00:46:14,316 --> 00:46:15,613

Marc Preston: conversation If we would have to be

Speaker:

00:46:15,633 --> 00:46:17,479

Marc Preston: cappuccino or espresso, of course.

Speaker:

00:46:17,550 --> 00:46:17,711

Announcer: Yes.

Speaker:

00:46:18,132 --> 00:46:19,557

Marc Preston: Next question If you were to go back when

Speaker:

00:46:19,577 --> 00:46:21,312

Marc Preston: you were young, who was your first

Speaker:

00:46:21,352 --> 00:46:23,319

Marc Preston: celebrity crush when you were young?

Speaker:

00:46:23,732 --> 00:46:26,549

Marc Preston: That one guy you saw in film like, oh you

Speaker:

00:46:26,569 --> 00:46:27,642

Marc Preston: know, you just had a crush on him.

Speaker:

00:46:27,884 --> 00:46:28,228

Marc Preston: Who would that?

Speaker:

00:46:28,249 --> 00:46:29,595

Fabiana Udenio: be, it was Steve McQueen.

Speaker:

00:46:30,514 --> 00:46:32,424

Marc Preston: Oh, of course, Any favorite, any specific

Speaker:

00:46:32,464 --> 00:46:33,410

Marc Preston: movie from Steve McQueen.

Speaker:

00:46:34,072 --> 00:46:34,514

Fabiana Udenio: You remember?

Speaker:

00:46:34,534 --> 00:46:36,594

Fabiana Udenio: this is so vague, i was so young, i don't

Speaker:

00:46:36,635 --> 00:46:36,976

Fabiana Udenio: even know.

Speaker:

00:46:38,950 --> 00:46:40,194

Fabiana Udenio: Yes, also James Cohn.

Speaker:

00:46:40,214 --> 00:46:42,019

Fabiana Udenio: He did a movie called Roller Roller,

Speaker:

00:46:42,140 --> 00:46:42,581

Fabiana Udenio: something.

Speaker:

00:46:44,052 --> 00:46:46,079

Marc Preston: Oh, it was a roller ball.

Speaker:

00:46:46,230 --> 00:46:47,415

Marc Preston: You know, I've never seen.

Speaker:

00:46:47,435 --> 00:46:48,519

Marc Preston: I was just listening to.

Speaker:

00:46:49,150 --> 00:46:51,157

Marc Preston: He was on a podcast the other day with his

Speaker:

00:46:51,217 --> 00:46:54,293

Marc Preston: son was on a podcast And they were talking

Speaker:

00:46:54,313 --> 00:46:55,758

Marc Preston: about how roller ball still holds up.

Speaker:

00:46:55,790 --> 00:46:58,253

Marc Preston: It's really now, oh yeah, and and I.

Speaker:

00:46:58,694 --> 00:47:00,813

Marc Preston: But I've never seen that And I have always

Speaker:

00:47:00,874 --> 00:47:01,215

Marc Preston: wanted to.

Speaker:

00:47:01,911 --> 00:47:04,946

Marc Preston: James Cohn was just all the way to I.

Speaker:

00:47:04,966 --> 00:47:06,392

Marc Preston: At first time I saw him I remember it was

Speaker:

00:47:07,636 --> 00:47:09,361

Marc Preston: it was either Brian's song or not.

Speaker:

00:47:09,430 --> 00:47:11,498

Marc Preston: It was, of course, godfather was, you know,

Speaker:

00:47:11,578 --> 00:47:13,575

Marc Preston: one of them, but James Cohn was wonderful.

Speaker:

00:47:14,450 --> 00:47:16,356

Fabiana Udenio: No, the dear hunter, I mean my God.

Speaker:

00:47:16,396 --> 00:47:19,474

Fabiana Udenio: I remember the most scary, The dear hunter.

Speaker:

00:47:19,930 --> 00:47:22,138

Fabiana Udenio: It was the movie that I yes the dear hunter.

Speaker:

00:47:22,730 --> 00:47:23,031

Fabiana Udenio: There you go.

Speaker:

00:47:23,192 --> 00:47:24,436

Fabiana Udenio: That was the movie that I was thinking

Speaker:

00:47:24,456 --> 00:47:25,780

Fabiana Udenio: about before It just came to me.

Speaker:

00:47:26,330 --> 00:47:28,378

Marc Preston: That was such a unique era for movies back

Speaker:

00:47:28,418 --> 00:47:28,579

Marc Preston: then.

Speaker:

00:47:28,630 --> 00:47:29,476

Marc Preston: That was, that was.

Speaker:

00:47:29,718 --> 00:47:31,290

Marc Preston: That was a unique time for movies.

Speaker:

00:47:31,571 --> 00:47:33,095

Marc Preston: I got to go back into now with all the

Speaker:

00:47:33,135 --> 00:47:35,041

Marc Preston: streamers the Netflix and Ramzan.

Speaker:

00:47:35,210 --> 00:47:36,654

Marc Preston: I got to go dive into some of these older

Speaker:

00:47:36,694 --> 00:47:38,700

Marc Preston: movies with my children and introduce them

Speaker:

00:47:38,740 --> 00:47:38,981

Marc Preston: to them.

Speaker:

00:47:39,050 --> 00:47:39,733

Marc Preston: That would be wonderful.

Speaker:

00:47:40,590 --> 00:47:41,695

Marc Preston: Now, one question I do have.

Speaker:

00:47:42,090 --> 00:47:43,294

Marc Preston: The next question is if you're going to be

Speaker:

00:47:43,314 --> 00:47:45,360

Marc Preston: living on an island it's a beautiful island,

Speaker:

00:47:45,370 --> 00:47:46,891

Marc Preston: you're not stranded there or anything you

Speaker:

00:47:46,950 --> 00:47:47,070

Marc Preston: love.

Speaker:

00:47:47,070 --> 00:47:48,911

Marc Preston: There may be a nice place to live, but for

Speaker:

00:47:49,072 --> 00:47:50,838

Marc Preston: one year you don't have streaming or

Speaker:

00:47:50,878 --> 00:47:51,420

Marc Preston: anything else.

Speaker:

00:47:51,550 --> 00:47:53,615

Marc Preston: You have to bring a DVD if you want to

Speaker:

00:47:53,635 --> 00:47:56,101

Marc Preston: watch a movie, and a CD if you want to

Speaker:

00:47:56,121 --> 00:47:56,803

Marc Preston: listen to an album.

Speaker:

00:47:57,471 --> 00:47:59,716

Marc Preston: What movie and what album are you going to

Speaker:

00:47:59,756 --> 00:48:01,060

Marc Preston: bring with you to keep you company

Speaker:

00:48:01,100 --> 00:48:01,842

Marc Preston: throughout that year?

Speaker:

00:48:02,830 --> 00:48:04,637

Fabiana Udenio: Just one movie.

Speaker:

00:48:05,270 --> 00:48:05,853

Marc Preston: It's just got to be.

Speaker:

00:48:05,893 --> 00:48:06,837

Marc Preston: It's just got to be one.

Speaker:

00:48:07,010 --> 00:48:08,877

Marc Preston: Maybe, if you got a couple, we'll allow an

Speaker:

00:48:08,957 --> 00:48:09,319

Marc Preston: extra one.

Speaker:

00:48:09,510 --> 00:48:13,119

Fabiana Udenio: I would bring Barefoot in the Park and what?

Speaker:

00:48:13,500 --> 00:48:14,603

Fabiana Udenio: that's a movie, and then what else?

Speaker:

00:48:16,274 --> 00:48:18,360

Marc Preston: A CD or an album, something from music.

Speaker:

00:48:18,430 --> 00:48:19,815

Marc Preston: And even if you want to throw, some people

Speaker:

00:48:19,875 --> 00:48:21,180

Marc Preston: don't really think of CDs or music.

Speaker:

00:48:21,210 --> 00:48:22,556

Marc Preston: They also want to put a book in there.

Speaker:

00:48:22,630 --> 00:48:24,674

Marc Preston: They like, they like to read, but yeah,

Speaker:

00:48:24,735 --> 00:48:26,382

Marc Preston: something musically, an album that you

Speaker:

00:48:26,402 --> 00:48:27,005

Marc Preston: would like to bring.

Speaker:

00:48:27,110 --> 00:48:30,460

Fabiana Udenio: I would something from you too, or the

Speaker:

00:48:30,480 --> 00:48:32,452

Fabiana Udenio: police, And then a book.

Speaker:

00:48:32,492 --> 00:48:35,279

Fabiana Udenio: it would be something like maybe Cedar, the

Speaker:

00:48:35,319 --> 00:48:37,423

Fabiana Udenio: road less traveled, or something like that.

Speaker:

00:48:37,751 --> 00:48:40,700

Marc Preston: Now, if the next question, if you were to

Speaker:

00:48:40,870 --> 00:48:41,835

Marc Preston: These are great questions.

Speaker:

00:48:42,392 --> 00:48:45,619

Fabiana Udenio: Yeah well, thank you I love them Listening

Speaker:

00:48:45,639 --> 00:48:46,329

Fabiana Udenio: what's going to be next.

Speaker:

00:48:46,510 --> 00:48:48,016

Marc Preston: I got to tell my kids see, daddy knows what

Speaker:

00:48:48,057 --> 00:48:48,599

Marc Preston: he's doing.

Speaker:

00:48:49,731 --> 00:48:53,823

Marc Preston: But if you were to define for you what a

Speaker:

00:48:53,924 --> 00:48:55,609

Marc Preston: perfect day is, from the time you get up in

Speaker:

00:48:55,649 --> 00:48:57,233

Marc Preston: the morning till the time you go to sleep,

Speaker:

00:48:57,874 --> 00:48:59,838

Marc Preston: the component parts, the pieces of a

Speaker:

00:48:59,919 --> 00:49:01,983

Marc Preston: perfect day for you, what would those be?

Speaker:

00:49:03,091 --> 00:49:06,521

Fabiana Udenio: Has a great night's sleep, like a long.

Speaker:

00:49:07,063 --> 00:49:08,046

Marc Preston: What is that Right?

Speaker:

00:49:08,066 --> 00:49:10,433

Fabiana Udenio: A great night's sleep, like it starts with

Speaker:

00:49:10,453 --> 00:49:12,179

Fabiana Udenio: my son going to bed early or something, or

Speaker:

00:49:12,199 --> 00:49:18,102

Fabiana Udenio: like me, and then coffee, maybe the time to

Speaker:

00:49:18,143 --> 00:49:18,864

Fabiana Udenio: work out.

Speaker:

00:49:19,771 --> 00:49:22,860

Fabiana Udenio: I miss sauna or like that stuff like that I

Speaker:

00:49:22,940 --> 00:49:23,161

Fabiana Udenio: miss.

Speaker:

00:49:23,612 --> 00:49:25,228

Fabiana Udenio: Ever since COVID I haven't gone to the gym

Speaker:

00:49:25,248 --> 00:49:27,457

Fabiana Udenio: very much, so I do it all at home, which is

Speaker:

00:49:27,477 --> 00:49:28,119

Fabiana Udenio: still boring.

Speaker:

00:49:29,852 --> 00:49:32,746

Fabiana Udenio: And then, oh my God, getting a phone call

Speaker:

00:49:32,767 --> 00:49:35,880

Fabiana Udenio: that you got a job, you booked a part.

Speaker:

00:49:36,382 --> 00:49:38,410

Fabiana Udenio: That's perfect, even without the coffee.

Speaker:

00:49:39,214 --> 00:49:40,661

Fabiana Udenio: I could skip the coffee and say you got

Speaker:

00:49:40,681 --> 00:49:40,762

Fabiana Udenio: that.

Speaker:

00:49:41,530 --> 00:49:44,296

Fabiana Udenio: I still see what I do is so addictive that,

Speaker:

00:49:44,356 --> 00:49:47,163

Fabiana Udenio: even if it's a part that I don't even care

Speaker:

00:49:47,303 --> 00:49:47,664

Fabiana Udenio: very much.

Speaker:

00:49:48,486 --> 00:49:50,450

Fabiana Udenio: Just not getting it, you like the work.

Speaker:

00:49:51,312 --> 00:49:52,696

Marc Preston: It seems like you just like the work, you

Speaker:

00:49:52,716 --> 00:49:53,459

Marc Preston: like the process.

Speaker:

00:49:53,479 --> 00:49:54,401

Fabiana Udenio: I really do like it.

Speaker:

00:49:54,482 --> 00:49:55,825

Fabiana Udenio: Yes, i really like enjoy it.

Speaker:

00:49:55,845 --> 00:49:56,427

Fabiana Udenio: Yes, it's fun.

Speaker:

00:49:56,808 --> 00:49:57,370

Fabiana Udenio: So then, what else?

Speaker:

00:49:57,650 --> 00:50:00,998

Fabiana Udenio: But dinner with a great dinner with friends?

Speaker:

00:50:04,871 --> 00:50:07,459

Fabiana Udenio: Mostly has to do with my son being happy

Speaker:

00:50:07,599 --> 00:50:11,860

Fabiana Udenio: too Great news for my family in Italy.

Speaker:

00:50:12,000 --> 00:50:15,430

Fabiana Udenio: Or what makes a good day?

Speaker:

00:50:16,613 --> 00:50:19,441

Fabiana Udenio: Feeling good, exercising.

Speaker:

00:50:20,132 --> 00:50:22,018

Marc Preston: It sounds like you're not a very sedentary

Speaker:

00:50:22,219 --> 00:50:22,641

Marc Preston: person.

Speaker:

00:50:22,681 --> 00:50:23,684

Marc Preston: You like to be in motion.

Speaker:

00:50:23,985 --> 00:50:24,928

Marc Preston: Is that a good thing to say?

Speaker:

00:50:24,948 --> 00:50:25,450

Marc Preston: Does it sound accurate?

Speaker:

00:50:26,312 --> 00:50:26,653

Marc Preston: I wonder?

Speaker:

00:50:26,693 --> 00:50:29,300

Fabiana Udenio: what I would be curious to hear what other

Speaker:

00:50:29,340 --> 00:50:30,142

Fabiana Udenio: people have said.

Speaker:

00:50:30,470 --> 00:50:32,616

Fabiana Udenio: You know, like for me, yes, it has to do

Speaker:

00:50:32,656 --> 00:50:36,929

Fabiana Udenio: with, I guess, other people's emotions too.

Speaker:

00:50:36,969 --> 00:50:37,430

Fabiana Udenio: What happens.

Speaker:

00:50:38,211 --> 00:50:40,174

Marc Preston: Well, most people I speak with, that answer

Speaker:

00:50:40,274 --> 00:50:42,638

Marc Preston: usually ends up being with family at the

Speaker:

00:50:42,698 --> 00:50:44,541

Marc Preston: end of the day, or good friends with some

Speaker:

00:50:44,581 --> 00:50:47,185

Marc Preston: kind of a meal away to finish the evening.

Speaker:

00:50:48,857 --> 00:50:50,445

Marc Preston: It is very interesting because everybody

Speaker:

00:50:50,485 --> 00:50:51,450

Marc Preston: views a day a little bit different.

Speaker:

00:50:51,951 --> 00:50:54,017

Marc Preston: Some people like their meditative quiet

Speaker:

00:50:54,057 --> 00:50:54,960

Marc Preston: time to themselves.

Speaker:

00:50:55,551 --> 00:50:57,641

Marc Preston: Some people like to do, to be going, you

Speaker:

00:50:57,681 --> 00:50:58,746

Marc Preston: know, so it's.

Speaker:

00:50:58,767 --> 00:50:59,450

Marc Preston: That's a beautiful thing.

Speaker:

00:50:59,591 --> 00:51:00,920

Marc Preston: Everybody's a little different and

Speaker:

00:51:01,121 --> 00:51:02,430

Marc Preston: perfection for everybody is different.

Speaker:

00:51:02,972 --> 00:51:03,414

Fabiana Udenio: Yes, yes, yes.

Speaker:

00:51:04,770 --> 00:51:06,714

Marc Preston: Now, if you weren't doing what you were

Speaker:

00:51:06,754 --> 00:51:08,497

Marc Preston: doing now for a living, what you have been

Speaker:

00:51:08,517 --> 00:51:10,480

Marc Preston: doing for many years, that you obviously

Speaker:

00:51:10,580 --> 00:51:13,305

Marc Preston: love so much, what would be your vocation,

Speaker:

00:51:13,450 --> 00:51:15,075

Marc Preston: what would be the other thing that you

Speaker:

00:51:15,095 --> 00:51:16,519

Marc Preston: would do that would you feel would bring

Speaker:

00:51:16,539 --> 00:51:16,920

Marc Preston: you joy?

Speaker:

00:51:17,610 --> 00:51:20,756

Fabiana Udenio: You know, I would have loved, I would like

Speaker:

00:51:20,796 --> 00:51:22,338

Fabiana Udenio: to be a lawyer and attorney.

Speaker:

00:51:23,079 --> 00:51:25,243

Fabiana Udenio: Just because you'd have to, you can defend

Speaker:

00:51:25,283 --> 00:51:25,964

Fabiana Udenio: yourself always.

Speaker:

00:51:26,490 --> 00:51:28,216

Fabiana Udenio: I mean, if I, if something I missed, it's a

Speaker:

00:51:28,256 --> 00:51:28,838

Fabiana Udenio: law degree.

Speaker:

00:51:29,711 --> 00:51:31,335

Fabiana Udenio: I've always said, you know, I wish I had a

Speaker:

00:51:31,396 --> 00:51:32,479

Fabiana Udenio: law degree for this and that.

Speaker:

00:51:33,610 --> 00:51:36,840

Fabiana Udenio: So yes, or a teacher, but an attorney would

Speaker:

00:51:36,860 --> 00:51:37,241

Fabiana Udenio: be good.

Speaker:

00:51:37,490 --> 00:51:38,517

Marc Preston: You're the only one that's ever said

Speaker:

00:51:38,557 --> 00:51:40,007

Marc Preston: attorney, but that's very, that's very

Speaker:

00:51:40,067 --> 00:51:40,450

Marc Preston: interesting to me.

Speaker:

00:51:40,731 --> 00:51:43,881

Marc Preston: I think that's being able to what you could

Speaker:

00:51:43,902 --> 00:51:45,045

Marc Preston: do for other people potentially.

Speaker:

00:51:45,065 --> 00:51:46,310

Marc Preston: I think that's a nice thing being able to

Speaker:

00:51:46,330 --> 00:51:46,430

Marc Preston: argue.

Speaker:

00:51:47,052 --> 00:51:48,671

Marc Preston: I think Tom Hanks said it best He wouldn't

Speaker:

00:51:48,691 --> 00:51:49,614

Marc Preston: want to do it because it's like doing

Speaker:

00:51:49,674 --> 00:51:51,018

Marc Preston: homework for a living, you know.

Speaker:

00:51:51,450 --> 00:51:54,238

Fabiana Udenio: True, but but it would give me such, you

Speaker:

00:51:54,278 --> 00:51:57,949

Fabiana Udenio: know, the ability to not necessarily

Speaker:

00:51:58,009 --> 00:52:00,440

Fabiana Udenio: practice it, so that mostly I was jealous

Speaker:

00:52:00,480 --> 00:52:01,184

Fabiana Udenio: of a law degree.

Speaker:

00:52:01,244 --> 00:52:02,329

Fabiana Udenio: not maybe, i don't know if I would make it

Speaker:

00:52:02,349 --> 00:52:03,815

Fabiana Udenio: good Maybe a judge.

Speaker:

00:52:04,076 --> 00:52:05,442

Fabiana Udenio: I would make a good judge because I'm very

Speaker:

00:52:05,522 --> 00:52:07,450

Fabiana Udenio: fair, but that's a lot of work.

Speaker:

00:52:07,894 --> 00:52:09,147

Marc Preston: They have those judge shows in the middle

Speaker:

00:52:09,187 --> 00:52:09,430

Marc Preston: of the day.

Speaker:

00:52:09,874 --> 00:52:11,268

Marc Preston: If they had one, we're just giving you some

Speaker:

00:52:11,329 --> 00:52:11,430

Marc Preston: ideas.

Speaker:

00:52:11,871 --> 00:52:13,976

Marc Preston: If you were a judge, I'm just saying that

Speaker:

00:52:13,996 --> 00:52:15,681

Marc Preston: could be one where you could put your own

Speaker:

00:52:15,721 --> 00:52:16,202

Marc Preston: spin on it.

Speaker:

00:52:16,450 --> 00:52:18,006

Marc Preston: That would be, that would be kind of.

Speaker:

00:52:18,066 --> 00:52:18,450

Marc Preston: I would watch it.

Speaker:

00:52:19,433 --> 00:52:22,341

Fabiana Udenio: But also like but I'm also very patient.

Speaker:

00:52:22,470 --> 00:52:24,196

Fabiana Udenio: So I think I could make a good teacher

Speaker:

00:52:24,216 --> 00:52:25,039

Fabiana Udenio: because I'm patient.

Speaker:

00:52:25,550 --> 00:52:27,115

Marc Preston: The wonderful thing is that you still

Speaker:

00:52:27,176 --> 00:52:28,279

Marc Preston: really enjoy what you do.

Speaker:

00:52:28,612 --> 00:52:29,218

Marc Preston: You know this is.

Speaker:

00:52:29,238 --> 00:52:30,389

Marc Preston: It doesn't feel like just a job you have to

Speaker:

00:52:30,410 --> 00:52:30,450

Marc Preston: do.

Speaker:

00:52:30,975 --> 00:52:32,268

Marc Preston: It seems like you're still very passionate

Speaker:

00:52:32,288 --> 00:52:32,450

Marc Preston: about it.

Speaker:

00:52:32,871 --> 00:52:33,433

Marc Preston: I think we should all.

Speaker:

00:52:33,835 --> 00:52:35,360

Marc Preston: I think we should all be so lucky to still

Speaker:

00:52:35,380 --> 00:52:37,085

Marc Preston: do something for so long and be I feel like

Speaker:

00:52:37,105 --> 00:52:37,828

Marc Preston: I'm very fortunate.

Speaker:

00:52:37,868 --> 00:52:38,450

Marc Preston: I still love what I do.

Speaker:

00:52:39,132 --> 00:52:39,372

Fabiana Udenio: Isn't?

Speaker:

00:52:39,452 --> 00:52:41,557

Fabiana Udenio: yes, you certainly yes, if you can do that

Speaker:

00:52:41,617 --> 00:52:44,143

Fabiana Udenio: for a living, that's a gift really.

Speaker:

00:52:44,851 --> 00:52:47,577

Fabiana Udenio: And for me to have known it at an early age,

Speaker:

00:52:47,637 --> 00:52:49,241

Fabiana Udenio: i didn't have to go through that confusion

Speaker:

00:52:49,281 --> 00:52:50,343

Fabiana Udenio: in what am I going to do with my life.

Speaker:

00:52:51,113 --> 00:52:52,418

Fabiana Udenio: I knew what I wanted to do.

Speaker:

00:52:53,096 --> 00:52:54,288

Fabiana Udenio: Now the question is whether I could do it

Speaker:

00:52:54,309 --> 00:52:54,430

Fabiana Udenio: or not.

Speaker:

00:52:55,135 --> 00:52:57,450

Fabiana Udenio: And luckily, you know, i was able to do it.

Speaker:

00:52:58,218 --> 00:53:00,152

Marc Preston: I think you're doing a wonderful job And I

Speaker:

00:53:00,192 --> 00:53:01,836

Marc Preston: think I think Fubar is a wonderful

Speaker:

00:53:02,558 --> 00:53:04,703

Marc Preston: progression to kind of reintroduce you to

Speaker:

00:53:04,743 --> 00:53:06,207

Marc Preston: some folks who maybe haven't watched some

Speaker:

00:53:06,247 --> 00:53:07,029

Marc Preston: of your other things.

Speaker:

00:53:07,049 --> 00:53:07,370

Marc Preston: I think it's fun.

Speaker:

00:53:08,339 --> 00:53:09,430

Marc Preston: I can't wait to get to the next episodes.

Speaker:

00:53:10,460 --> 00:53:11,450

Marc Preston: But I have one last question.

Speaker:

00:53:11,670 --> 00:53:13,332

Marc Preston: If you were to jump into a DeLorean you

Speaker:

00:53:13,352 --> 00:53:15,195

Marc Preston: remember those DeLoreans and you were to

Speaker:

00:53:15,235 --> 00:53:18,379

Marc Preston: travel back in time, you know, and to when

Speaker:

00:53:18,399 --> 00:53:20,341

Marc Preston: you're 16 years old, and a piece of advice

Speaker:

00:53:20,361 --> 00:53:23,365

Marc Preston: you would give yourself either to make the

Speaker:

00:53:23,465 --> 00:53:25,768

Marc Preston: moment you were living in better somehow or

Speaker:

00:53:25,848 --> 00:53:27,450

Marc Preston: to put you on a better track for the future.

Speaker:

00:53:27,912 --> 00:53:30,988

Marc Preston: Just a piece of advice you would give 16

Speaker:

00:53:31,008 --> 00:53:31,450

Marc Preston: year old Fabiana.

Speaker:

00:53:32,824 --> 00:53:35,358

Fabiana Udenio: I don't stress so much, it'll be OK.

Speaker:

00:53:37,222 --> 00:53:40,818

Fabiana Udenio: You don't have to be perfect, you know yeah.

Speaker:

00:53:42,594 --> 00:53:44,179

Marc Preston: You're asking before what do other people

Speaker:

00:53:44,239 --> 00:53:44,340

Marc Preston: say?

Speaker:

00:53:44,450 --> 00:53:46,018

Marc Preston: That is something I hear frequently,

Speaker:

00:53:46,199 --> 00:53:47,767

Marc Preston: because don't we distress when we're kids

Speaker:

00:53:47,807 --> 00:53:48,430

Marc Preston: and worry about what's next?

Speaker:

00:53:48,953 --> 00:53:50,882

Marc Preston: And if you do, just enjoy the ride.

Speaker:

00:53:51,023 --> 00:53:53,195

Marc Preston: Yeah, i love that, that's perfect And don't

Speaker:

00:53:53,235 --> 00:53:54,564

Marc Preston: take yourself too seriously.

Speaker:

00:53:54,584 --> 00:53:56,354

Fabiana Udenio: You know, i was so intense, i was very

Speaker:

00:53:56,374 --> 00:53:57,257

Fabiana Udenio: intense when I was young.

Speaker:

00:53:57,611 --> 00:54:00,884

Fabiana Udenio: I was like relax, because you missed out on

Speaker:

00:54:00,905 --> 00:54:01,450

Fabiana Udenio: other things in life.

Speaker:

00:54:02,133 --> 00:54:03,358

Fabiana Udenio: I was so focused.

Speaker:

00:54:05,613 --> 00:54:06,074

Marc Preston: Yeah, it's.

Speaker:

00:54:06,415 --> 00:54:07,957

Marc Preston: I saw a quote the other day said you spend

Speaker:

00:54:08,097 --> 00:54:09,920

Marc Preston: this portion of your life being the person

Speaker:

00:54:09,940 --> 00:54:11,643

Marc Preston: you should have been way back then, but you

Speaker:

00:54:11,703 --> 00:54:13,005

Marc Preston: couldn't have gotten there unless you went

Speaker:

00:54:13,265 --> 00:54:14,948

Marc Preston: through all of the things you went through

Speaker:

00:54:14,968 --> 00:54:15,729

Marc Preston: you know Absolutely.

Speaker:

00:54:17,214 --> 00:54:19,726

Marc Preston: I so appreciate you taking time out with me

Speaker:

00:54:19,746 --> 00:54:19,847

Marc Preston: today.

Speaker:

00:54:19,867 --> 00:54:20,048

Marc Preston: It's been.

Speaker:

00:54:20,068 --> 00:54:23,216

Marc Preston: it's been fun And, like I said, a summer

Speaker:

00:54:23,256 --> 00:54:26,223

Marc Preston: school was one of my Mount Rushmore top 80s

Speaker:

00:54:26,323 --> 00:54:29,009

Marc Preston: movies and and I got such a sweet
